I had a Junco pokin' around in the snow a little bit ago. Poor guys are all confused. I think he got blown in. Hwy 52N just closed down north of here. That pretty much locks us in here, 63 is the only one left open.

I know I was having fun with you guys with it being in the 80's sunny and beautiful out golfing and cutting the grass here the last two days  :sleazy: but seriously y'all be safe if you have to travel and take your time with the snow removal because I'm sure it's a wet and heavy snow unless you live near Del, we don't need anyone dropping over with a heart attack. Be safe out there.
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

Was just out throwing out a few handfuls of seed for the birds.  Snow felt perfect for throwing snowballs at Reb, except my shoulders are worn out.

It was about the third or fourth time I was out to feed them.  Seeds keep getting buried in the snow.

Why dontcha build a little roof over the seed spot for 'em? Or open yer garage and lay the seeds on the floor...but ya might get a canada in there, and it'll bite ya in the butt. Then ya can say that ya got goosed in the garage.

Looking like so far we at least partially dodged the bullet, and only got a few inches of snow atop the rain, slush, and ice pellets.

Daughter in St Paul sent a picture of the 15 inches they got...

Not looking good for opener, and I am starting to worry about our Quetico trip on 6/1..

Mornin guys, 21* & ain't seen 1 snowflake. Watching the radar, it looked to me that most of it stayed on a Duluth/Moose Lake to Brainerd line. They're sayin there's a 50/50 chance we might get a little overnight tonight. The wind backed off yday late afternoon for us. Seen a couple reports of over 24" in SW Mn, wow! Not much new here, hope you have a good 1. Like Coffee said, take it easy moving the snow & if you have to be on the roads, be careful.

Man that's a lot of snow Delman.  We had wind and sun here.  I did go drill some holes and caught a 20" walleye and 2 smaller ones.  Will have walleye with eggs for breakfast.  I went to the Vidas access yesterday and there were some boats that pushed over the shore ice and were dodging ice bergs trying to fish.  That is about 6 miles from me.  I still had 24" of solid ice here.  It was cracking and making lots of noise.  The wife would have run for her life.  lol  Gonna be 36 for a high today.  50's by the end of the week.  I will believe it when I see it.

That sounds fun Lps.  I have no idea how much snow we got here Burnsville,  moved snow several times yesterday and it all filled back in overnight . I was shocked when I got up and the paper was in the driveway by 6. Thinking on running up to cub and get some pork butts and burger to mix up some Swedes.  See ya!!
