Good morning.  It is dark and rainy here.  In the 30's too.  Should green things up.  There is a big fire near Greenbush and we got a warning on our phone last night that all of the smoke we had here is from a fire in Canada.  It was real smoky too.  Back to the grind today.

Morning boys. Yep rainy here this morning, had almost a 1/2 inch when we left for work. We had a lot of smoke last night. I was cooking super and about 5:30 I looked out the window and said to the wife that is smoke outside. Pretty thick too. So, we hopped in the blazer and went looking. Drove all the way up to Rocky point and seen it was coming from Canada. On our way back home we met 3 forestry trucks doing the same thing we did. Then we seen the sheriff heading north. Figured he was looking also. He was moving pretty fast. Have a good one boys.

Mornin guys, got 43* here. Yeah some rain for us too, think the 1st thunder & lightning was about 2, not sure when it quit. We must've came close to 75* yday & with that wind it opened up a spot out in the middle of the bay. So I don't think it'll be very long 'til the ice is out here. Someone posted some pics shot from a plane & it looks like the main lake is going fast too. We put the batteries in the boat yday so it's ready to go. Much cooler today but 60's again for the rest of the week. Have to see what the day brings my way today, hope you have a good Tuesday.

62* and dark clouds here; rain later with 76* degrees. Hit 81* yday. It was nice to have every window wide open, but the  35-40 mph winds we had were a bit much. Sure blew the house out, though. Dug out the box fans and cleaned them up in prep for the warm days. Shoulda test run the AC and and done a temp drop check, but plenty of time for that. Just restin' up today, nothin' goin on here. Enjoy yer day, guys.  :coffee:

62 at choretime after a high yesterday around 82. .12" of precip at the ranch and .11" in Bugtussle proper. Farmers givin' 'er hell yesterday ahead of the rain. Maybe 15% - 20% of the corn is in the ground. Some beans in too. Some fields were too wet to plant corn yet so they planted on fields that were fit being rotated to soybeans. Making progress anyway. My buddy Mike puttin' the hammer down!

Hump day boys.  Only two days to go.  Kind of cloudy and cool here at 36.  I hear the furnace running.  About time for that season to end.

Morning boys. Same here as Barry. We shut the wood boiler down Saturday, almost thinking I may fire it back up for a few days again. Well, the open water out front goes out about 3/4 mile. I may have been jumping the gun when I was thinking yesterday that it might be out by opener. I think the rain was just making it look darker. Oh well, we won't be home that weekend anyhow. Have a good one!

Mornin boys, 42* here. We shut the furnace & boiler(in floor heat for basement & garage) down a few days ago. Then had a cool night  or 2 so I think the furnace is still getting used at night some. But it's about that time where all that's needed is the heat pump. Got some flowers on the east side of the garage that've been blossoming so our ground must be warming up. Looks like it's time for our weekly grocery run today. Bet close to 1/2 the bay is open water here, so I don't think it'll be long for us. :happy1: Not much else today, hope ya enjoy your Wednesday.

Mornin' all! 52 at choretime. Just got back from getting the airbag recall fixed on the Dotch. Painless and I went next door to have breakfast. Ran into a couple neighbors I hadn't seen in a while. Took 'em a while to figure out who I was as my face is still in winter plumage. Will have to shave pretty quick. By the time I got done diddling around, my truck was done. Was a hummingbird at the feeder this a.m. 2 weeks ago we had 4" of snow + the leftovers from the blizzard on the ground.

Wow! That's a Reb-o-riffic bfast there, ya old sheep humper!   Morjits said rain and cool all day, sun came out about 9:30 am ......my buddy popped in, started in on the the yard, trimming bushes, etc., and it dried out quick. Three hours later all bushes trimmed, pruned, gutters blown out, yard all hand raked, fertilizer and seed put down. That's the apple tree on the upper left there, that just went *POP* yday. Even the lilacs on the right there did, too.  Bring on the rain now, ya morjits!  :moon:

That's where two huge maples were, it's gets lumpy over winter, and grass kinda dies off there every year, so when ya rake, up comes the dead stuff. But it just grows right back in fine....it's weird.
This pic was taken 2 yrs ago on May 17, you can see how far ahead we were of this year. WAY ahead. Apple tree was all flowered out already.

Of course the NL wants to contain me....
