Loaded up and headed to deer camp as soon as I finish my coffee and the school buses are done running for the morning. Need to move a couple of ladder stands and check three others. Walleyes were buttheads yesterday and we only caught two 16"ers. They'll taste good. Enjoy the eats JB, sounds great. Time to get out of here, have a great day everyone.  :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' gang! 61 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-80's. Lovely July weather. Should dry the snot out of the corn. Were some reports of corn being down as low as 20% from customer yesterday. If this keeps up the LP guy may be like the Maytag repairman. More soil sampling on tap for today then back to Mom's for more fun and games tomorrow. Sunday would be nice to go for a cruise in the Stude. May have to fly solo as Mrs. Cheviot informed me she's probably working that day.

Afternoon peoples,  pretty dry around these parts had to start chasing tge sprinklers again. The bro yanked out the dock, boat and lift today and by golly we had our first sightings mussels attached to tge legs of everything  :angry2: . Hopefully things cool down tonight with rowster opener tomorrow,  we'll just have to take it easy and call it a day early if it's too warm. See ya!!

Yep, enjoy yerself boober. Supposed to be cooler here tomorrow. Roosters are hanging tight with all the corn still to be harvested but it'll go fast with most of the beans out and the good drying week we've had. Actually saw a few Huns here over the summer. Just think, all that walking will build up yer stamina for eluding Mrs. Boober. Or at least allow you to hide better to avoid the honeydew list!

Morning boys.  Beautiful morning.  Cloudy and not too windy.  Our maples are bright yellow now.  Gonna finally cut up a popple or two today, clean the gutters with my blower but will have to use the ladder cuz my pipes aren't here yet.  Mayhaps a fire is in order here too.  The wife loves having fires.  Not gonna be too windy so mayhaps some fishing is in store for us too.  I saw lots of shiners yesterday but got so windy it was hard to keep the boat still.  Good luck JB.

Morning boys.  Got all I wanted to do yesterday except the gutter project.  Waited for more leaves to fall so will do that today.  The wife and I even went fishing for a couple of hours.  Little ones were nibbling our bait off but no keepers.  Was fun to be out.  Saw some clouds of shiners moving by. Windy as heck here and going to increase as the day goes on.  Gonna watch some football especially everyone's favorite team the Vikes tonight.  LOL  Should cook a hunk of meat.  Mayhaps some ribs.  Later boys.

Morning boys. 45 here heading for the 60s today. Windy as heck here right now. Sounds like we may get some rain later today too. I hope it holds off until I get my afternoon project done. Hope to wash and winterize the camper after my parents head home. They decided last night to go out to eat. So we went over to River Bend Resort. Good eats. So I will use some of the pork loin for chops this morning to go with the eggs. Otherwise just another day in paradise. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gents, we had 41* the 1st time I looked & we might make 60*. The college games got boring yday & it was so nice out that I jumped in the boat ~ 2:30. Could've had my limit :fish2: but 6 or 7 got off before I got 'em to the boat as I was takin it pretty easy on 'em, ~ 30 fow, so I could let 'em go if they weren't hurt too bad. Did manage to boat 5 crappies & 3 sunnies, all are still swimmin. Two of the sunnies were pretty nice as 1 went 9.75" & the other was a 10.5" beauty, probably my biggest ever. :happy1:  Tried it :fishing: this morning again but it's too windy, couldn't control the boat. That's all for now, have a good day.

To net the shiners on the river you have to have a license and I think it is $200 or so.  You also have to take a class or course on invasive species.  All of the equipment you use has to have tags on it and can't be used in other waters so you don't spread invasives.  Maybe you can disinfect the nets and cages???   BUT a couple of hundred yards up the creeks entering the river you can net without any of that.  Just have to go past the first bridge on that creek and you are fine.  Makes no sense whatever.  I just get mine from a friend that nets them.  This is appx info so don't quote me but it is pretty close to the deal.

Crazy, since all the water is connected whats the difference.  Maybe to keep everyone from netting their own perhaps is their logic.  We see lots of em in shallow spawning in the spring.. easy pickings.

What they need to do is just prevent people from taking them from here to elsewhere.  If you use them here what is the difference?
