Morning boys. 18 to start the day here and I have not even looked at the forecast for today. I believe it calls for ice fishing with the chance of beer. The is the one I am following. Found our way across the new ice. About a half mile across. I found under the snow it was 7" thick and the bare ice was 9" thick. Where the house is sitting it is 14" thick. I am now out in 25 fow. Hoping to catch some fishies today. Just another day in paradise. Have a good one boys.

Good luck fishin jb! Mornin peoples,  gots to run up to work and get rid of some garbage, stop by and rent a ceramic tile cutter, its just a small job in front of the fireplace but it should look nice. Then start ripping carpet out of a different room for wood flooring.  These projects are gonna cut into my ice time, maybe that's what the wife wants.. See ya!!

just read a 94 year old man from Alex went thru the ice over there yesterday..  some men ice fishing helped get him out..  I guess the thin ice sign was out there too..

Morning boys.  Hard to believe it is Saturday.  These long weekends are great so the wife can be home.  Cooper is doing great.  Now he walks over to the sliding doors when he has to pee or poop.  He usually goes down the steps but sometimes just pees on the deck which has a layer of snow on it.   That is just fine with me.  As he gets taller he is up and down like there is no tomorrow.  LOL  Good little pup.  The wife is till loving him to so all is good with the world.  Buddy is mellowing to the tyke too.  They are not best friends but are getting better.  The wife has Hallmark Porn on TV so I try to button my lip and watch it with her.  SO hard to not make what I think is funny remarks.  Irritates her though.  LOL  Well you all have a fun day.  I'm gonna.

Mornin guys, back home ~ 9. The roads going north were much better than expected Thursday. The east/west ones up there weren't quite as good, some snowpack around the windbreaks, but still OK. Had just 5 for Xmas eve but the oldest niece & her family of 5 made it yesterday too. 'Bout it for now, have a good day!

well I didn't make to town cause of the snow storm the other day and I needed a few things so I went this morning thinking most folks will be at all the big box stores..  and boy was I right!!  grocery stores, only went to 2, I had to myself almost!!  nice quiet shopping!!!

Morning boys. 12 here and not warming up much from there I do believe. No fishing today. Got some projects that I want to get done today so I am ready for the big New Years weekend. Have some fishing buddies coming up. Need to get the big fish house cleaned up and ready to go while hoping for more ice out there. Just need that new ice to add 4-5 inches. Keeping my fingers crossed. Fishing was kinda slow yesterday. But we have enough for a meal. Otherwise just another day in paradise. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  Gonna work on putting on my new Skidoo seat cover today.  Got ready yesterday but I need a deep 10 mm socket.  Will buy a set of them today.  The wife won't let me do the torch thing Mike.  She thinks I will burn the house down.  LOL  Not too breezy out today so far.  Man that TB Det game was a riot yesterday.  I felt bad for Detroit.  Will have to turn a game on in the garage whilst working in the garage today. Mornin all, 25*now & 'sposed to hit 29* later. Sucks to hear about Reb's mom , been wonderin how she was holdin up. RIP Beverly! Not too many good matchups for the early NFL games today but I'm sure I'll still be watchin. A couple good ones late though, LA/Sea & Tenn/GB. Hopin your Sunday's a good 1.

So after 3 days of lounging in sweat pants finally put on a pair of jeans  this retired life is good.

Took a drive around the chain yesterday. Lots of people on the ice. Think I only seen 3-4 wheel houses out though.

I used to fish in a walleye tourney every spring at West Bend on the Mighty Mo north of Chamberlain.  Great place with a nice campground and launching area.  We caught lots of walleyes and small mouth.  Well they had 2 or 3 of those small KOA type cabins you could rent.  It was a race to get them.  We tried one year so I called and up came a 900 sex line thing.  I laughed hung up and tried again.  Same thing.  Other guys trying got the same thing.  I called SD Game and Fish and told them and they didn't believe me so I said try it.  Well it ended up getting fixed.  It was pretty funny.

mornin all, 16 here and appears to be the high for today..  talking 2 to 5 inches of snow tomorrow..  only have a few thing on my list for today..  got about an inch of snow yesterday, just enough to muck up the roads but weren't to dad..  have a good day all!!

Mornin boys, we have 11* & 27* will be the high, they're sayin . Barely enough snow here yday to turn the ground white. Nobody agrees on how much we'll get out of the next storm as I've already seen anywhere from 1-3", to 5-7" depending on who you want to believe. A couple small things in mind for this morning otherwise it's another play it by ear day. Have a good day.
