  • "Seems like time is here and gone".....Doobie's
Maples are just starting the turn here; birches still all green. Just finishing up my pre-Winter stuff today...painted any trim that needed it the last couple days, caulked any outdoor spots that needed it. New bottom w-strip on steel doors. Furnace inspected/checked. Water to outside faucets shut off. Yard fertilzed/overseeded, and gonna cover just THE TOP of AC tomorrow (leaves and needles aready falling into it) killed power to it, moved some of deck furniture inside (sun chaise and small tables) Hated to, but pulled carb off snowblower Sunday as it has been losing power, smoking, fuel block has slight crack, valve springs weak, needs seats resurfaced, and a manifold gasket as I found an air leak...cleaned and re-installed carb, still the same, so hated to, but took it in to buddy to rebuild carb/replace valve springs /relap seats. I had a good comp ratio, so rings are OK yet. I just can't get down on my knees and bend and do all that stuff anymore., plus my fingers don;t work right anymore.  :undecided:  Figger after 22 years, that's the first money I've put into it besides plugs, oil change, and did put in a new drive disc 5 yrs ago, so I'm not gripin'. been a great blower. The other 2 cycle is also ready to go and in great shape. Will be 2-3 weeks for the big one, as he already is buried in mowers and blowers.
That should get me into winter ok, I'd say I've  got things all covered, cupboards and freezer are fully stocked, so bring it on!  :azn:

I figger with most of my stuff here, I could head up and help Baryy with his stuff....I can drive all sorts of tractors, and UTV's, and Coeper and bob could ride shotgun with me, and if i see him slacking I'd hit the horn to  get him motivated. *HONK*HONK*   :rotflmao:

Hurry up and you can do the digging around my power wires to find the cut coax.  But the risk is worth it to have cable TV in the garage.  Nice to have it on when doing projects.  Especially Sat morning.  Buddy and Cooper would keep you busy too.  LOL  As many shiners as there are in the river all we are catching is little saugers, walleyes, and sturgys.  Barely getting enough to eat.  The fish may be gorged on the shiners???   I don't venture too far from home though.  Gentlemens fishing.   :sleazy:

yea it was pretty wierd the difference in the colors from home up to the cabin!!!!!!!!!! it seemed like the only trees changing where the maples, oak, birch, poplar didnt even look close yet. the under brush looked pretty brown however and the ferns i seen where all brown!!!!

 That's weird as we've got 2 Ash trees on the this end of the driveway that have turned & are 90% on the ground.  That's the only ones that are that bare already though. Been cleaning leaves up on the other side of the driveway down by the road for over a week too.

Our ashes are bright yellow and dropping leaves now.  Dug up the wire and it is fine.  I need to just dig a trench and put new cable in.  I dug that in about 14 years ago.  Too hot to even go fishing today so not digging any trenches.  It is 82 here.  That is above my fun threshold.  BLT's tonight.  Did do some trimming on our trails in the shade but done for the day now.  Time to relax under the ceiling fan since we took the AC's out the other day.

I've seen a few and wasn't even hunting them.  A few sharpies and a few ruffies too.  I read that they are not at the top of their cycle though.  ???

Morning boys. 60 here heading for high 70s with a slight chance of rain today. Grocery shopping after work today then pack the camper and load the wheelers up for a weekend of camping down in Beltrami. Otherwise just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  The cable going by the power pole was not cut so have a break somewhere else.  I ran a cable over land and the tv works fine.  SO now I have to grab my spade and dig a new trench to the garage.  The last one I did about 14 years ago.  It's about 50' so not too bad.  May have rain this afternoon so will just take a siesta then.

Mornin gang, 57* here when I went down to the dock, sounds like ~ 80* will be the top. According to the hourly our best chance for some rain is from about 3 AM until early tomorrow afternoon. Helped the neighbor pull his lift out another 4-5' yday afternoon & that gained him close to another 6" of water. Went out :fishing: last night, had lots of action too but they didn't want it very bad. Got my project down at the lake finished yday so today there's some leaves to push around as they were really dropping late yday afternoon. From there?   Hopin your Thursday's a good 1.
