Been home for 45 minutes or so. There has to be 5" or more here. Got the sidewalk shoveled and about to warm up the 2510. Yes it sure is wet and heavy.

Todays snow was nice regular light snow.  Yesterday as you guys said was wet and heavy.  I pushed to shovel to move it and no way, once the shovel was full that is as far as it went.  Carry and throw over the railing on the deck.  We have talked about adding a deck on the south side attached to the existing deck.  We would get south sun exposure then.  BUT I know I will want it shoveled and that is my dept. so mayhaps I don't need that deck after all.

Bout 4" of slop here when I got home. Both snow chuckers got the nod,  big one out front and the little guy got bounced down the stairs to see the grilling area cleaned up, gotta be prepared if momma wants something seared for dinner!

It was actually snowing a little south of DesMoines but there wasn't really anything much on the roads till I got on the County roads close to home. I was quite surprised to see how much there was on my driveway and yard. All moved for now.

Best thing for a deck is one of those little sno pup snowblowers. I have one and blow the sidewalk, drag it backwards up the steps (it is light and pulls easy) and blow the deck off. Easy peazy.

Hwy 10 Hawley, where I live, to Moorhead.....heavy ice.

Interstate 94 closed at Hwy 75 junction in Moorhead. Can't get from Moorhead to Fargo.
Large number of vehicle crashes at Barnesville......many semis in the ditch.

ND has pretty much closed highways. No travel advised  anywhere in ND and SD.

No.....had to reschedule first week of January. I'm going to Red Lake next week to stay in a sleeper if they get them out on the ice. The next week the dentist is on vacation. He said I should be OK until then with the temporary.

NDSU supposed to play Incarnate Word in FCS semifinal football game on ESPN2 tomorrow night in the Fargo Dome. Their plane landed in Fargo at 4:30 today. Could be tough for ND people to get to Fargo tomorrow.

South Dakota State playing Montana State Saturday in the other FCS semifinal in Brookings. Outside. Starting at 3:00. High of 12. With falling temps as it gets dark. Also on ESPN2

Morning boys. 23 here and snowing this morning. We got 2-3 inches yesterday I would guess. I will clean up snow tonight. Wasn't enough to worry about last night. Otherwise just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  26 here and yes we got a bit of snow again last night or this morning but not a lot.  I have some pkgs to get to the post office today.  That is top priority.  Gonna start thawing my last corned beef for ruebens on Sunday.  Probably have cabbage and carrots the first meal and then ruebens after that.  I better take a ride on the sled to the fish house and keep the trail packed down.  Curious to see how much water is under the snow too.  Well you all have a great Friday.

They just showed the road conditions on the news.  The road from Baudette to I Falls is completely snow covered???  As in not usable I guess.

Had a big ash tree limb come crashing down on the roof last night at 3:45 AM.  I was up on the roof at 4 to see if there was any damage - luckily none.  I cut it up just the same and tossed it to the ground.  It was covered with ice and caked with snow.  All the trees bowed heavy with ice and snow right now.  While I was up, I shoveled the driveway and now there is another dusting of snow on it.  We need the sun to come out and start melting this crap.

Mornin gang, it's 21 here in Marshalltown & may make it up to 26. The drive down was windy but we missed the snow the roads were wet but not snow packed yet. Some light snow started about 3 & the wind picked up a bunch. The roads here aren't good now, glad we came down yday. Brother's appt is for 9:45 & should take a couple hrs, at least. So, it'll probably be at least noon before we head back north. We'll do a quick check of 511 before we decide which route we take. No more now, stay safe, & have a good 1.
