:rotflmao: was there a chorus of Santa got a DUI??

IT now finally looks like the wind picked up and is blowing snow around. Sue went to st cloud to finish her Christmas stuff said 23 was good and only 1 spot visibility was questionable, and that was at the 23/94 junction.

I usually heed the weather warnings although they frequently end up less threatening than advertised.  As I stated before, I picked up my granddaughter at the airport on Wednesday around 7pm and the round-trip form Big Lake wasn't too bad. Yesterday, I drove her to St. Michael around noon, again pretty much like normal winter driving. Today I again made a round trip to St. Michael. I drove on 94 from Monticello to St. Michael. Very little blowing snow on the freeway. This was probably because the road runs NW to SE and the wind did not blow snow across the road.  In the back of the PU.. Shovel, numerous boots, gloves, jackets, hats and other winter survival gear.

Cruising around town today was perty slickery,  mostly 2 wheel but when I wanted more control it went into 4. Sat outside cub while momma went inside,  noticed tge drivers side vents were blowing cold air while the passengers side blowing hot..WTF, I do have an appt on Tues for a recall, gonna hafta see what they say I guess. I did Google it and sounds like it's been an issue with douches over the years.

The driveway up by the house has no snow.  It all is blowing off.  But in places it is kind of drifting.  Hoping the pasture blows clean too.  Accu weather says we have 20 mph gusting to 40.

 I have 511mn saved as 1 of my favorites & look at it ALL the time, especially anytime we go between here & the lake between late October until maybe mid or late April. We used to go through Moose Lake a lot but this time of year getting that close to Duluth is not good quite often. We've been using 169 a lot lately but there's a stretch there, Hill City to the casino, that's not good all the time too. You can actually check the road conditions yourself if you check the road & plow truck cameras in the legend in the upper right corner of any 511 website, if you wish.

Glenn likes to be on the lookout for icicles dripping from his mailbox! Made the pilgrimage to our mailbox after chores. Road was awful as was the visibility. Was almost dark so was hoping there was no idiot driving around w/o their lights on. Wasn't but I need to clean out around it when the polar bears move on. No mail yesterday or today. Very short on rural carriers locally.

We go through Moose Lake sometimes when we do to the cities depending where we are going.  That Moose Lake cafe that is called the Moose something is a great place to stop for a homemade meal.  Not a dive but great service and food.  Great meatloaf...

Mornin all, -4 here & -26 WC, we might hit 0 later. Wind is NW at 19 & will stay ~ 20 all day. I've checked both MN's & IA's 511s already as we're planning on traveling about noon, if we can. There's quite a few plows out on both sides of the border already, so we should be good to go. We'll be checking the road conditions all morning too. Got a few things to do before that so I better go. Stay warm & have a great weekend.

Morning boys.  It is -11 here.  Winds will be NW 25 gusting to 37.  Yesterday was 20 gusting to 40.  Under OSHA Retirement rules I won't do much outside again today.  Having coffee and the egg bake will happen too.  After I made it I realize I haven't had this one before.  Mom usually had hash browns in it.  My sister said it is real cheesy and good stuff.   Vikes at noon on Fox this week.  Hope the Bears beat the Bills also at noon.  Our windmill was stuck with so much snow on it and I was going to clean it off but all of the wind yesterday cleaned it for me.  One more chore off the list done.  Have a great Xmas Eve today!

Morning boys. -11 here too. Still windy this morning too. I can't see the fish houses out on the lake. The sidewalk is drifted in pretty good. Think I will wait until the snow quits blowing to clean that up. Going to leave shortly and head to I-Falls to Menardos.  Other than that not much else. Stay warm boys.

Mornin' comrades! -6 overnite, -4 at choretime,  heading for a high around-2. The wind is down to 20-ish so at least there's that. Still a lot of snow in the air & drifting tho so visibility is around a half mile. Still felt the cold in my hands when I had to be stationary during chores.  Drifts are hard as a brick altho our yard blew clear in a lot of places, down to where I'd cleaned before. I can get out with the pickup. No need to so I won't fire up the tractor & blower until tomorrow. Unless of course I run out of gin...🤔
