Mornin' comrades! Was still 32 yet at 3 a.m., fell to 19 at choretime and should keep falling the rest of the day. Dumped .8" of rain out of the gauge about 10 last nite. Got less than 1/2" of snow. Actually that was a good thing. It stuck to the ice so at least you can get some traction when hauling buckets, bales, feed pans, etc. It was burnin' thru my grit supply & gettin' downright treacherous in spots. Banking & payroll today after I get done breakfast & watching a webinar with some coffee here at home. Can pick Poppy up from the vet after 3 so will be on that as quickly as possible. Miss the little terd and her antics. I know they'll tell me to keep her calm & subdued for a few days. Ya right. Not sure why they tell a person stuff like that. When we had Gus castrated they told me that when I was paying the bill. When I opened the door on the 1T dually, he loaded himself. Jumped up into the front seat which was a helluva leap, then proceeded to jump over the front seat into the back seat. That's where he always rode and by gum that's where he was gonna sit. So much for keeping him calm.  :doah:

I would guess we got 3-4" of snow. The plow has gone by already. Trees are heavy again with this wet snow. Tops are moving so the wind is blowing here also. Currently 15 degrees here in International Falls down from 17 degrees at 7 this morning.

I might go push some snow around today, or maybe not.  ;)

Stay safe.

Got the last of the snow/rain melted out of the gauge at the ranch. Total precip for yesterday was .95". 1.14" in Bugtussle. Lucky that was rain and not snow or ice. Like glenn said, the wind is brutal.

I did just have a padded straight back chair that I have used for 20 years.  I just put this old office chair in last week and I feel like I have died and gone to heaven it is so comfortable.  I started listening to stories/ podcasts whilst fishing.  Great fun!!!

Evening peoples,  24 and a stiff wind.  Got back from therapy a little bit ago, went well but no cartwheels any time soon. Momma had a work function so it's just me and the pooch, was thinking on throwing a frozen za on the Traeger but I'll do the warm route tonight. I believe the Wild play tonight so I'll tune in just to scream at the goalie, friggen Fluery... see ya!!

Late game tonight I think? Seems there aren't any Minnesota teams worth staying up for. The only ones doing anything are the Gopher mens hockey. You can't hardly find the correct day, time, or channel to watch them.

Morning boys.  -7 here.  Looks like a nice morning till you open the door.  I put a shot of honey in my first cup of coffee every morning.  I usually get it from Wilmars in Warroad.  I got a jar at the store the other day to get me by till I get to Warroad.  It is from Little Falls.  Can taste the difference but it is still very good.  Not a lot on the list today other than go to town to pay the electric bill.  I have those 3 ham bones I will simmer up today and add ham onions carrots etc later on.  Will use my new Dutch oven.  Fun.  One day closer to spring even though it doesn't feel like it.

Mornin guys, 22 here & we may hit 24 later. The computer & the radar says it's snowing but I just stuck my head out & it must not be reaching the ground. Most all of our snow is 'sposed to stay south & east of Waterloo, which is 50 miles SE of us. They found a minor hiccup as my brother was getting ready to leave after the surgery on Tuesday, so they had him stay until they got everything more to their liking. The surgeon said everything looked good yday in the followup exam though. We left Clive ~ 9 yday & in Mason City by ~ 11. A couple stops & back in town by 11:30. Picked up the mail, had some lunch & back here by 12:30. No more now, have a good day.

Got 300 letters to put stamps on today and do my mailing for our MDHA event. Drop off a package for the wife to return a jacket. After that keep putting stuff away in the garage that was torn down or moved last week. Looks like a three cup morning, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Good morning America! -2 degrees & sunny here in International Falls this fine morning.

Yesterday I did one of my favorite things and plowed the driveway. For some reason I enjoy plowing snow and mowing grass. I think it has something to do with the solitude and no distractions. Once I finished with that it was a resupply at the grocery store. Had a surprise when I got home. I went in the garage (which I seldom do because I park outside) and found a bunch of broken glass on the floor. After running into the house and retrieving my detective hat I discovered the garage window had taken a bird hit. Feathers mixed in with the broken glass laying on the top of my chest freezer was the determining clue. No body found. So, I can add replacing the glass in the window to my spring projects.   :pouty:

I should finish the book "Term Limits" by Vince Flynn sometime tomorrow. I got 1/2 way through it yesterday. very easy read as all his books are.

Sounds like it will start warming up again for the weekend.   :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 14 at choretime heading for a high around 20. No accumulating snow altho we had some flurries yesterday. One new ewe lamb in the barn this a.m. Had the vet out twice for another patient. Ewe had been pushing her vagina out so one vet stopped last nite to put a retainer in. This a.m. she she blew that out and the entire uterus was coming with it. Another vet came out & put a purse string suture in to hold it in. She's not dilated enough to lamb yet so I've got watch her closely & when I can start to feel feet in the birth canal, I need to cut the sutures, put the retainer back in & hope like hell I can keep the uterus in there until I can get the lamb(s) out. Not looking forward to it. Much rather press the easy button where they do it on their own, the lambs get up and drink, & everyone lives happily ever after. Also have Poppy to deal with. She was pretty groggy after her spaying procedure yesterday. Drank water like mad then proceeded to yack that up. She didn't eat real well last nite either but now this morning she's getting back to being a Corgi. She's been pretty good but keeping her quiet is getting tougher that's for sure. Luckily she hasn't licked her sutures so we haven't had to put the cone of shame on, yet.

Mike that pan with slots for cooking veggies on the grill is a Weber product.  Just in case you wanted to know.  It is stainless steel.  I need to use it more often. May be good for fish too.  ??
