Morning boys.  I let the dogs out a 4 am and it was 28 now it is 11.  Glad we got that brush pile burned yesterday.  All willow crap and man did it burn good.  Looks like an inside day today.  Mayhaps start watching 1883 I'm thinking.  Will grill that porterhouse too.  Looking forward to that.  With a nice salad.  Have just a skiff of snow from overnight.  Hoping that snowmaggedon doesn't come up here much.  Have a good one boys.

  doesn't look like Iowa is going to get it??
Of course not, we've sent it all to Stearns County! :sleazy:        ;) :rotflmao: :rotflmao: TWC's site still has 1-3" listed for Wednesday here, but seen a couple maps that said mostly freezing rain for us on Thursday. That middle map of Dotch's shows a large section of the SW part of the state getting 20". I'd bet those totals get revised by the time it actually gets here. :doah:

Good morning from International Falls. 21 degrees here right now and it looks like it will fall all day. Not what you want to see but oh well. I see we had a dusting of snow overnight and a light wind right now.

Will watch a few fishing shows this morning with nothing else planned for the day. Thanks again to HD and his people for keeping the site up an running. It's much appreciated.

Mornin' comrades! 24 at choretime heading for a high in the low 30's. No newbies overnite altho I stayed up too late watching Dr. Pol. Like to manufacture a nap sometime today. 😴 After chores I got all the hay feeders broke loose so they're not froze down. Checked the snow blower over so it's ready to hook up ahead of Snowmageddon. Have 3 or 4 pens of lambs to dock, vax, tag & move today ahead of the storm so we have some space. Think we're half done lambing finally. Poppy continues making a speedy recovery. Have to keep her on a short leash when she's outside because she'd be off like a rocket otherwise. Her incision looks great so it's tempting to let her rip but want to follow the guidelines. Rather be safe than sorry.

May need to fix the side door on the garage on the house today. Also have to see if I can get some post cards made up quick and mailed out this week. Someone (me) forgot to put the date of our upcoming gun bingo on the letters we just mailed out. Talking about 12" of snow here by Thursday. Looks like another crappy drive to Grand Rapids on Friday. Oh well, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  Happy Presidents Day.  The wife is here to supervise me again today.  LOL  Have coffee brewing and it is 3 out now.  Gonna be a cold week and then back into the 20's on Sat.  Should be our last blast of cold right??  Our adjustable bed is supposed to arrive today.  I will meet the trucker here in town to get it.  It is free shipping from Amazing Amazon you know.  Last week a nice lady called to set it up and I gave her my address.  It is shipping from Jacksonville Fla.  LOL  She didn't flip out so we are good to go.  Have some left over steak to have with eggs this morning.  You all stay out of trouble.  I still have a king sized bed to get rid of too.....  Darn it JB.  I have been shooting for a 25 and now you upped the anty with that nice walleye.  Congrats.

Mornin guys, 25 here & we may hit 44, later. There's a little snow off to our west but I don't think it'll make it here. We've got another eye appt in DM again tomorrow & with the incoming weather we're going to drive down after lunch today. Probably be OK doing it both ways tomorrow but we're not going to chance it. Got a little business in Mason City today too. 'Bout it here, make it a good day.

Mornin' comrades! Was 15 at 4 a.m. & ratcheted up to 22 by choretime. Heading for a high in the upper 30's. Had ~.4" of snow that blew thru here between 7 & 8 a.m. No newbies overnite. One more pen of lambs to move later today & then begin prepping seriously for Snowmageddon. Might have to slip into town to sign the guest book at the office & get stuff to make French toast from the grocery store. Haven't made any for a while. Getting more difficult to keep Poppy's activity level subdued. At 6 days post-op, she appears to be healing well ahead of schedule. Probably have to reconsider some of the restrictive regimen suggested. At least she telegraphs her bathroom habits pretty well. I can smell a puppy fart a mile away.

morning fellers......done already.........pretty small load today.  they are already somewhat expecting delivery issues on thursday. i see another saturday in my future.

does anyone know what is needed for  CDL?????? i was asked to drive the Teals truck now and then to Costco and back. guess i need that to drive it. my driving record is good, i've been told they check your blood pressure, eyes and ears and ya pee in a cup......no biggie here. i'm concerned if my bypass surgery back in 2011 will create a problem??????

nuttin planned for the day cept maybe get a list of goodies to tie us over through the snowmaggadden. mayhaps a trip to st cloud tomorrow  before it starts!

Bypass will not effect the CDL. The F-I-L had a bypass and had his CDL and drove semi up until he passed last year.

If it is under 26,000 lbs gross weight you can get by with your regular Class C.  OR you can get a Class B CDL for any single unit motor vehicle pulling a trailer under 10,000 lbs.  A little easier than a Class A.  You need to borrow a Class A truck to take the test in.

Like mentioned if it's under 26,000 your regular license is good. You will need to have a Medical Card. It's a basic physical good for 2 years. I think mine was $90 and I took it at a chiropractors office.

Just make sure they pay you better for driving the truck.

The guy that they asked before me can't because of an opioid med he's taking.

Nobody mentioned anything about any test other then the visit to the chiropractor. And as be I understood it I think the store will foot the bill

Since they are asking you to drive I'm sure they will pay for the card.

We always made having a medical a requirement when applying for a driving job. If you got hired you were reimbursed for the card after working for 90 days. If you didn't last 90 days or quit you still had the card that you paid for.

It's going to be more if hassle than it's worth Glenn. You'll need to get your permit ( pass a test) drive with another individual that has tge license fir a spell then take a road test. If you take blood pressure meds you'll only score a year for your med card. Your doc can give you a dot exam.

The only thing that matters is weight rating. I would bet you 2 cases of Grain Belt Premium it's not rated over 26,000 lbs.  No CDL required. Only a medical card.
