Mornin' comrades! 33 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-30's. .7" of snow at the ranch & about 1" in Bugtussle proper. Was wet sticky snow so was actually a blessing to have it glued onto the icy patches so we don't fall on our butts. Have another webinar to watch momentarily so best tune that in. More moving pens of ewes & lambs later today. Hopefully make chores more streamlined but probably not at least for me...

Morning boys.  It is -8 here and should get near 30 I think. Gonna pull the house on Sat the way it looks.  Should be easy this year.  You do know that March 1 is meteorological spring.  One step in the right direction.  Nice days in the future.  Have a good one.

Thinking I'll have to move some snow away from the house today before the thaw starts. Didn't  get anything done yesterday except sit in the chair and drink large amounts of water. This went on for almost 22 hours. Fell much betterer today. Later....:happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' comrades! 22 at choretime heading for a high around 30. Not much new at the ranch since yesterday. Got slushy again and refroze so need to be careful where you step to avoid injury. Got more space opened up in the main barn so we can move the last contestants out of the lambing barn at will when they're ready. Made the chores there more streamlined there but still a half dozen pens in the lambing barn so that's the bottleneck. It adds about 5 minutes per pen per choretime session by the time you factor in the extra feed pans, hay, bedding and hauling individual buckets of warm water. If two guys were doing this, we'd have a lot of this crap done already. Git 'er done!

Morning boys.  I used to like going to gun shows too.  Been many years for me.  I bought eggs yesterday for a little over $3.  Will take longer for them to drop prices here.  Cloudy here and 21 at the moment.  Time to get the tracks on the Grizzly to get the fish house off the river.  Will putz with that today or maybe I will just wait till tomorrow.  LOL  Have a great Friday!

I went to the gun show in Alex a couple of years ago after not attending for twenty years. Only difference was the prices had increased by 800%. Still was fun going and looking at all of the different stuff. Thinking after my run for LP and diesel I'm going to cut apart an old welding bench that was given to me and see what I need to build it back up again. It was 42" by 96", 26" tall. A buddy of mine cut it half and gave me one half. I've already cut the deck down to 36" by 48". Now it will fit between the garage doors and stay there, but will have wheels just in case. More coffee, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Get to work glenn.

Mornin guys, 22 here currently & on our way to 40, maybe. We found eggs for $2.89 yday in GR. They had  more snow Wednesday, ~6", than we did. They were still working moving some of it too. The neighbor was still unpacking when we came down the drive, so we had to spend a little time catching up with him. Not sure what's on today's agenda yet, hopin your Friday's a good one.

Mornin' comrades! 22 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-30's. Got chores done, breakfast et, coffee cup is dwindling so time to make a move, after I take a dump! No newbies overnite so good in the lambing dept. Will head into the office after lunch & see what kind of trouble I can get into. Prolly swing by the grocery store & DG to pick up a few things while I'm at it. Could run to Waseca and get license tabs but am thinking why bother? Cheaper to pay the fine than buy the tabs. It's one Minnesota after all ya know! Wife took off to Rochester with one of her gal pals so Poppy & I have the run of the house in the meantime. Need to keep an eye on Poppy. Just like a kid. When it gets quiet, that's when I start to worry.

Afternoon peoples,  41 outside and that sun feels great! Momma hit up Costco and cub today, by the looks of the fridge it's a good thing I picked up charcoal today. But first I think I'll mix a Brandy coke, ya that'll make the past work week dissappear...See ya!!

Headed to school to watch granddaughter shoot archery this morning. Should be a busy place. May take a quick trip on the snowmobile after that. Not sure where we're going, but haven't had it out for a month. Didn't get my bench cut up yesterday, but did finish my sheeting project for now and picked up some angle iron to build the new base for welding bench. Later... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  Had a bout of the runs yesterday and a sore throat.   ???   Hoping last nights cocktails remedied that situation.  Just thought you should know that.  It is actually cloudy here but real bright so the sun is trying to come out and play.  21 now.  I need to get those tracks on the Grizzly today. That's about it since I got so much done yesterday.  Speaking of grilling Bobb I may have to put some thought into that too.  Mayhaps ribs or a T bone.  Sure get a lot of good ideas on here.   :sleazy:  Well later boys.

Mornin' comrades! 29 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-terdies. Nice day yesterday, better than forecast, so hope we score another screw up like that. Gotta make a feed run & see what other mischief I can get into. Smelled skunk again in the barn this a.m. at choretime. No stink at 4:30 a.m. when I was out there. Mrs. Cheviot saw a great big one down the road so I tossed some eggs in that area in hopes that we could take a poke at him out in the open. Also got the live trap out. His days are numbered. I hate skunks & will go out of my way to off them.

Glenn, a live trap and a pellet gun does the trick.
Dotch, what do you do with a skunk in a live trap?   I worry about that since I have the live trap next to the deck when the racoons or possums get annoying.  A skunk would be a problem.
