Morning boys. 1 above here and heading for a high of 22 today. I got my big fish house pulled into shore yesterday afternoon and moved the little one to a new spot . After that the wife and I hopped on the bearcat and went for a little ride. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  Bobb mayhaps someone had too much kraut the other day.  I hope that situation gets taken care of.  Are you at home where this is happening or at work?  Must be work.  Well I don't know what to think about this snow forecast.  It is pretty general and not real specific for our area from what I see.  Thinking it may be south of us.  I got us all cleaned up so would be nice to keep it this way.  Flood chances are rising for the state with all of this snow now.  Well not a lot on my itinerary today.  Just watching spring happening.  Today is the first day of spring you all know.  It is just a little brighter today.  LOL  Have a good one.

We did 120 miles yesterday on the snowmobiles. Trails were in very good shape. Stopped in Verndale for lunch at the Pirate's Cove (I think). Good eats there. Hopefully get some ice off the driveway today before it snows again tomorrow.
JB, I went to the Gun Caucus meeting on Saturday in Osakis. Every gun owner should contact their senator and rep. and let them know they need to vote again all of these new bills within the next two weeks before they go out for recess. Two quick examples. SAFE STOREAGE bill where you have to keep your firearm and ammo separate places locked up. You'll be dead before you can protect yourself if someone breaks into your house. UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS. If you and I are at the trap range and you would like to try using my shotgun to see if you like it. You'll nee to go to the sheriff and do a background check, up to 10 working days, if you pass you can shoot it. When you give it back to me I need to go into sheriff's office and do a background check, 10 working days, before I can get it back. This is two small examples of the five bills they covered. It's just the tip of the iceberg. Enough of my soapbox for now. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Right. They dream up this crap and who is going to enforce it??? I see our Sheriff has joined the Gun caucus opposing all these lame brain bills.

Mornin' comrades! 28 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 30's. Gotta make a feed run again as they got the feed in they were short of Saturday. Not their fault. The supplier didn't have the results of the copper test back in time for them to ship the pallet of feed. That's fine too as any added copper in sheep feed will kill them as they can't metabolize it. All it takes is someone pushing the wrong button at the plant & Houston, we have a problem. Luckily we had enough feed to get by until tonite. Will head there before going into town. Their gas price was cheaper than anyplace else I'd seen too so will probably fill up whilst I'm at it. Thanks markn for the heads up. I knew about the 1st one but had no idea how stupid they were on the 2nd one. I should've guessed. Absolute fools with no concept of what it's like to live out here where when seconds count, the cops are a half hour away. I'd probably still have a skunk running around in my barn if not for the shotgun I keep loaded for just such occasions.

In the five bills they discussed Saturday each has multiple provisions in them. So it was 15-20 laws in just these five. We were told this upcoming vote on these bills will be close.

I did get some snow and ice scraped out of the driveway yesterday. Brother texted, he works for a cabinet maker just down the road from me, and asked if I needed a couple of 7' tall tower cabinets they recently removed from a house. Of course I said yes. Went over to pick them up and I asked the boss how much he needed for them. His reply was "free". My favorite price. Planning on putting backs of them and then making a half closet (with shelves) to hang heavy jackets, bibs, ect. in and all shelves back in the other for two cycle oil, oil yard chemicals and the sort. Tha small one might be for cordless tools. More coffee, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Afternoon comrades! Started out at 28 during chores and saw as high as 49 so far. Sounds like some precip on tap for tonite then sloppy, wet snow tomorrow nite. Nothing like what's supposed to happen to the north, this time. Usually we get our turn in the barrel, about the time people start to think they can maybe start working ground. Works almost every time. In the meantime, we've lost a lot of snow today in these parts. Can definitely see we got more out of the blizzard at the ranch back in Feb. Still more snow out that direction vs. Bugtussle. More mud too. Always nice to have a place to put stuff, markn.  :happy1:

Afternoon peoples,  yeah not much for uncovered ground here, some rain would help that out, although looking at the neighbors yard it must be going down cuz I can see more dog chit daily,  God I hate that.  Anywho been on da phone wrangling new insurance for da cabin, done deal. It's funny tho taking over the bills for the place the electric has gone up 2 bucks every month since December,  with nobody there! Gotta be a faulty Democrat is what I'm going with..Anywho spose I better do something besides sitting..See ya!!

Morning boys. 21 here and a couple inches of fresh snow overnight. Heading for a high of 32 today. Sounds like the wind will pick up later and blow the snow around. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Roads were pretty crappy last night on the way home from Carlos. Light rain was coming down on top of the snow. Ish. May have to go to Menards to pick up a couple sheets of OSB to cover the back on the new cabinets. The rest I'll cut in half for sheeting the top of the other two walls in the garage later this Spring. Easier to store them at 4'x4' too. Sounds like enough for, need to leave something for tomorrow, right lps? Got my welding bench done too. Here's pictures of "before" and "after". Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  That is a perfect welding table Mark.  Good job.  It is 23 here and we got about 3" maybe by looking at the wife's tracks.  Pretty thick cloud cover yet.  Will get it plowed up this morning after coffee and sausage and eggs.  Took the wheeler and the boys out for a ride on the river last night.  Lots more snow out there than what there was.  Glad I got the fish house off when I did.  You all have a good day.  Don't overdo the shoveling.  Nothing wrong with taking a break.
