Happy Easter everyone!!
Morning boys. 28 here and heading for 50 today. Was a beautiful day yesterday. I went out fishing in the afternoon and managed to find a couple fish. Caught me a 20", 23" and a 27". 3 slots in one afternoon. Can't complain about that. Also got some sun on the face to. Little rosey this morning. Not sure what today's plan is besides ham. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  Happy Easter to all of you.  Nice fish JB.  What a day for you.  We have our ham still thawing out and can't wait to cut it up.  Not a lot going on and that's ok.  Like a broken record still no sign of open water here.  Unreal how slow it is this year.  We did see our first seagulls yesterday.  That brown is showing up more and more as the snow melts.  Should make it melt faster.  SO now I suppose peppers will grow better with the Mexican dirt in our ground now.  LOL  May take a ride to Vidas and see what the river looks like.  Curious to see if anything is happening at the rapids yet too.

I do see the dirt now that you are talking about LPS. I can really see it on the roof where the snow melted off. Weird.

Happy Easter comrades! 45 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 60's. It made 67 yesterday according to the slightly less than reliable ranch thermometer. After unloading hay yesterday I worked on some of the ruts left from the feed truck & Gator. Finished pruning the Fireside tree, the worst tree we have in that dept. The rest will be cake compared to that one. Have sweet rolls rising so will bake them shortly. More pussy willows to harvest later. The chorus frogs are just starting  to get it cranked up in the wetland at night. If it hits 80 on Wednesday they will be loud.

:happy1: mission accomplished, new belts and shear pins on the snowblower. The one belt I'm amazed didn't break.

Snowbanks busted apart but damn there is a lotta ice under the snow.

Just waiting for Easter chow to get done. :happy1:

Morning boys. 29 here and heading for the mid 50s it says. We were in the mid 50s yesterday. Beginning to get some slushy spots out on the lake. We went for a bearcat ride yesterday evening for one last time. Otherwise just getting ready for a new week in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gang, 47 now & headed for 72. That's what I had on the car as we came back from Sis's yday about 3:30 too. Seen a few tractor's with equipment hooked to 'em already to go on the drive up early. Seen 1 actually out in the field on the way home & there must've been another 4-5 fields that they'd been in a little checkin it out. Got some leaves out front that are botherin me, so I'll start there. Have a good 1.

Morning boys.  Finally saw some movement on the river yesterday.  It froze back up last night.  Was some real dark spots yesterday so should see some water I am thinking today.  Here on the river we should see 60's the next 3 days and then a few rainy days next weekend.  Lot of snow to get rid of around here.  Can't wait to get the 4' drag out to smooth things out and break up the dog poop.  I may go scoop some up today if it is not too mushy out there.  The ham turned out good yesterday.  You have a nice day.

Mornin' comrades! 46 at choretime heading for a high in the low 70's. Got more pussy willow harvesting done after chores yesterday. Temp topped out around 70. Fired the Stude up and took the Mrs. to Applebees. Hadn't been out since late Oct. before the wife broke her ankle. Once I went thru the pre-flight checklist, the Silver Hawk started right up. Had forgotten I'd had my Studebaker mechanic install a new exhaust system on it before I put it away for winter. Has a nice low tone to it rather than being whisper quiet like it once was. Talked to my brother Sat. Said they were putting anhydrous on down around US 20 in iA. Be a few days here for most. Still snow in the road ditches, groves & fencelines in places. Usually doesn't go before that stuff leaves. St. Olaf Lake had a big ring of water around the rotten ice this a.m. With highs in the low 80's & winds gusting over 30 mph Wed. that should take care of it.

The dimmer switch doesn't see a lot of use as I try to avoid driving it much after dark. With the huge herds of deer in areas, even have to be careful during the daytime. Driving that car is like taking a step back in time. The three on the tree w/OD makes it fun. Find I'm using 2nd in OD a lot more than when I first had it. Nice option to have, keeping your speed about right in town. From a stop sign or light, go from first to 2nd, then let off on the gas and drop it from 2nd direct to 2nd OD. When increasing the rpms, able to shift it into 3rd OD w/o skipping a beat once back on the highway again.  :happy1:

Good morning all.   Crazy you talk about a red tree rat.  HAD one flirting with disaster here this morning as well.  He had a sudden end when he jumped up in a tree just off the deck chattering at me like I did not belong there.   Dang those things are distructive.

Dotch that is an AWESOME car !!!
