Afternoon all, gave my new seed a drink & then spent most of my morning in the boat. Mowed down by the road too. Another hazy day here as well. 'Sposed to end up around 75 here today. Got a little more to mow & will go from there. Better roll.

Really hazy skies in the north today. Smoke from forest fires in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Have burned over 1 million acres up there.

Haze from the smoke showed up here after lunch. Temperature dropped 5 degrees soon afterwards. We don't need haze, we need heat.

Noticed the air looked orange today. That just flat out sucks you can't find your wallet JB. The day of my procedure I gave ve everything to momma, I get they rush you in and out on same day, groggy as hell when you leave.  Sure hope it shows up. By the way, enjoy your time at home and quiet time, the salt mines comeback way too quick...

Ya, we are pretty sure that when the wife pulled my sweat shirt out of the bag it was in that it fell out onto the drive in front of the hospital. Whoever picked it up must have taken the cash and threw it away. Since I have no chargers on the credit cards. Or the wife put it in one of those spots so we would remember to not be seen again.

Good morning All.   Smoke is think this morning and you can really smell it in the air this morning.  Hoping it clears out of here.  Going to continue on the yard project.

JB sleeping all night is great sign of recovering.  Being laid up gets old really fast.

Sounds like the rain system moving in tonight is supposed to push the smoke out of here. For how long though,.

Mornin boys, we had 46 @ 1st peek & I'm seein 74 for our high. Still a funny orange tint to the sun this AM, so we're in for another hazy day. Already run the sprinkler on 1 part of the new seed & there's no need to walk in it while it's still wet, so that can slide 'til ~ lunch time. Got a couple other little things in mind for today, including some more boat time. 'Bout it here, hopin your Wednesday's a good 1.

Morning boys.  Hazy here too this morning.  I want to get those garden things done today.  I see the Twins play at 2:10 today so may have to watch that.  ???   Gonna be breezy and 80 here.  I have to run to town to pay some bills so the boys will like that.  I have to shovel the gravel out of the trailer first so that will motivate me.  Glad to hear you are improving JB.  SO what is the time frame for something like that?  Is the knee cap ok?

Mornin' comrades! 53 at choretime heading for a high in the low 70's. Drying out gradually but still a few days before fieldwork can begin again in earnest. Got the major part of the lawn including most of El Capitan mowed last nite. Finished in the dark. Knew those lights would come in handy sometime. Looks a little like a war zone in the bottom of the ditch but it'll come around once it dries up then gets rained on. Fortunately I'm not alone. A lot of the lawns around here look rough as the rains kept people from mowing when they wanted to. Grass got too long and looks like their mowers sort of chewed it off, just like mine did. Can finish mine off tonite then focus on gardening hopefully. Nice toys markn!  :happy1:

Everything is back in place. Sounds like 6-8 weeks for recovery. But doc said they will evaluate every 2 weeks and physical therapy will start at the 3 week mark.

Cold front coming from the NW. Dropping temps and pushing the smoke down close to the ground. Places in ND have HAZARDOUS breathing conditions. Bismarck on an angle NE through Devils Lake. Headed this way. :tut: :tut:

Bismarck visibility at 3 tenths of a mile.

Good to hear jb. So do you get to sleep in bed or a recliner? Hopefully PT is close to home. How bout working from home, an option while your sitting inside looking out? Just thought I'd throw it out, I'm at the 4 1/2 month mark and still on lite duty for the shoulder. Getting close tho.

I tried the bed a couple nights, but once the nerve block wore off I couldn't do it. So the recliner has been my bed since. Working from home later may be an option. Depends how much computer work I would have to do. I spend a better part of my days running the CNC mills or 3D printers. So I am on my feet a fair amount. I am pretty sure(hoping) PT will be in Warroad. So that will not be to far out of the way. My supervisor told me to take all the time I can get. Don't rush back.  The killer is going to be the 7k deductible that is going need to be paid. They better like payments.

Not to change the subject but my granddaughter, the one with the eating issues in the past, received a $1000.00 scholarship from Stearns bank tonight. At Christmas her mom said she had a 3.8 GPA.  Said she wants to go to nursing school . Here she is👍

51 here this morning. Quarter inch of rain overnight. But the front really brought the smoke down. Weather service says unhealthy breathing today.

Awesome, Glenn.  I love to hear about when local business' help high school seniors directly.  It is a good tradition in communities and it doesn't get much attention.  Nursing can open a lot of doors and provide a lifetime of work.  Where is she thinking about going?
