Morning boys.  It is 65 and calm and sunny here.  Not a cloud in site.  Gonna be 85 with more afternoon T storms.  Yesterday afternoon we got all showered up after our day and sat on the deck.  Was hot but we found shade and turned a fan on us whilst on the deck.  Here it started sprinkling on us.  It felt good but was kind of strange.  LOL  So today we bring Tanner to Park Rapids to meet his father.  It has been a great 4 days with him.  Did a lot of fun stuff and work stuff that we made fun.  Even caught one walleye and missed a few so we had that with our steak.  Didn't stay out long as he had some miles to put on the wheelers. The Grizzly and the Ranger may enjoy some downtime for a few days.  LOL  I just told him you keep riding safely and I will keep pouring gas in them.  He did too.   :happy1:  We always wonder if he will want to come back next year.  He has been with us on or around Mem Day since he was in diapers.  Well you all have a great day too!

Stopped at DQ in Virginia yesterday for a large twist cone. They were drive thru only and I think that actually made them quicker. They also are blaming things on a lack of labor which I'm not 100% buying. Some, not all but some of these places are just trimming their costs and cutting down / doing away with the costly inside dining.

Pretty interesting heat wave, dry spell we are in right now.

Morning boys. 69 here and TWC says 74 for a high.  Not sure about. Made 81 here yesterday, but it sure was humid. Like LPS said dead calm here this morning. The lake is like glass right now. Ya, enjoy the time with your grandson Barry. Before you know it they are all growed up. Our grandson graduates from highschool next Friday. We will be going down for that. So some of todays projects will be oil change in the truck and get the camper ready to go. Which is challenging on crutches. But we managed to get the cover off of the camper yesterday. Have a good one boys.

Ps. I will try and get that whip back today.  ;) :rotflmao:

i can partially agree with your labor thing, but damn there sure are alot of WE ARE HIRING signs out there. yesterday i stopped at FF in waite park.....a saturday afternoon and they had 2, friggin 2 people operating checkouts.   they also installed a bunch of self checkouts...so in that place i can see where there wanna cut costs. i refuse to do self checkout.

at Teals........they cant get kids to work there, worse area is checkout......... i notice though through all the other depts the usual stock shelf people havent changed any in a long time....cept for the deli......they seem to have issues keeping people!!!!!!!

Haven't a done thing around here since Thursday. Seems like all the muscle in my right knee tightened up and hurts like hell no matter what position it's in. Today there's just a little pain and I can get up out of a chair without help. Not sure what's going, getting old probably. Yard looks terrible, think I'll leave it until it rains. Maybe watch some Napcar this afternoon, did watch the Twins last night, good game to watch, wrong result. Gotta go, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

 Just made a run to Hy-Vee, 8 jobs posted on the door as you walk in. I don't think any were for a cashier, either. It was the same way over in Mason City at FF the last time I was in there too. Only 2 checkouts running & they were busy. Must've been 6-8 in both lines & I won't stand in line for my 3-4 things. I use the "Scan & Go" all the time, way faster.

Mornin' comrades! 67 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 80's.  No rain overnite but we did have a bat in the house. Mrs. Cheviot knocked him out of the air with the tennis racquet & I swept him up with the broom. Clamped between the two instruments, we tossed it outside & it flew off. With all the mosquitoes, really didn't want to kill it. These dopes keep dicking around doing things like raising minimum wage & paid family leave, expect more self checkout lanes. Oh well, at least they have a delivery tax. They just don't get it. Happy Anniversary to you & the warden roony!

Don't you gots a rider Mike? Not me no mo, I gets to sweat good. As far as self check outs, that's the cats meow at certain stores, I don't much care to look up certain things but for the most it's easy peasy.

Got the oil changed in the pickup and the wife did some mowing. Then while she mowed in the main yard the grass is really tall. So I had her get the rake and a hobbled with one crutch and the rake and got it into piles for her to pick up. I lost grip on that whip again.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Going to try to get something done around here today. Knee feels better. Sharpen blades on the Toro, someone ran them over a concrete step at the schoolhouse last week. Water the apple trees, back yard and the small garden. Cut grass. that should be enough for today. Seen two tow behind mowers on Craigslist, St. Cloud in For Sale-Farm and Garden. One was $1,300.00 and the other was $2,100. The spendy one was a DR copy and like brand new. Hope that helps LPS. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:
