Good luck today JB. I did get the 3/4 ton washed yesterday so it doesn't smell like 10 day old dead deer anymore. Think I'll try to get the meat processing stuff put away today so it's ready to go next month when we want to do sausage. Kinda spread out all over now. Later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin gang, we have 32 here & we should make 36 later. Not nearly as windy either, only ~ 10, today. The last book of stamps I bought lasted me almost 2 years. So, now I just get 'em 1 at a time from my brother & that's only 1 or 2 times a year. My last box of checks has lasted me at least twice that long as just about all my stuff is done online. Gone pretty much paperless for statements too. Another roll with it kind of day here, have a great day.

Morning fellers from the shores of lake Dubay,  part of the Wisconsin River. Enjoyed watching deer out in the bean field last night and this morning from my brother's patio door.

Later gonna go set up stands.

Watching turkeys out there now! :happy1:

Morning boys.  The ground is white again here.  Real light snow still coming down.  26 here and won't get much warmer.  Funny that just a few days ago the outlook was high 30's and low 40's for a few more days.  That program went tits up.  lol  I watched some of the Steelers Browns game as I was reading last night and it was really snowing there.  Kind of fun.  Thinking of starting the fire in the garage/shop this weekend.  Just don't want to overdo the lifting thing.  Don't want to rush it.  The slab is keeping it around 50 yet so that is good.  Well TGIF and JB good luck hunting.

Good morning campers. An overcast 28° this morning when I released all them mother cluckers. Had a good rod & gun club meeting last night.
No big or pressing projects for today. May work on adding some weight to a hollow synthetic butt stock. That's only been on my "to do" list for 3 years. Don't like to rush in to things.
      Stay safe everyone.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Good morning All.  A balmy 23 out right now with no wind.  It seems to be dropping a bit since I got up this morning.  There is a bit of ice in the bay today.  Hauled in 5 loads of dirt yesterday and hoping for the last three loads this afternoon.    Then we are DONE with that for the year.  Hopefully mother nature will compact that in for us. Total of 42 loads in there now.  The rest of the day will be spent in the shop.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 30 at choretime heading for a high around 33. Cloudy and misty/foggy earlier so like Scenic said, there's a glaze on stuff. Hafta to be aware of where yer walking. The wife got home from Louisville just ahead of when I got done cleaning the house with the skidsteer. Actually she waited until she knew I had the chores all done first. Sheep should arrive home sometime today. She's home today so she should be able to handle that. Prolly entertain thoughts of bringing the sheep home Sunday from the neighbor's to consolidate the chores somewhat. Tired of the twice a day routine there. Will try to rest my back & shoulder one more week tho before unloading & stacking a bunch more small squares, hauling manure, etc. They've been hurting & stiff for the last month or so. Can't imagine why...

Processed 42 hides yesterday. After that I did get my meat counter put back together and all of the stuff back in its place. Installed new guide pins in both meat grinders, hopefully they will cut better now. Got all of the bloody cardboard burnt up and the remaining deer carcasses to the dump. And a nap. Good day for me. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 30 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 30's. Some sun for a change so it makes me feel more ambitious. Speaking of naps markn, I have to get this warm Corgi sleeping on my lap off of me before I can get much accomplished. 1st need to finish putting the bunny guards on the bushes. Scary how many tracks there were after the snow. I have orders to harvest some dogwood for holiday/winter decorating. Then I need to run some errands, most importantly get the turkey, lefse, & cranberries. If time allows, may pick the remaining apples off the trees. By then it should be time for chores. Lotsa other stuff I should do but gotta save some for seed.  :coffee:

Got 10 blinds hung for the warden. For some reason or other I hate installing window treatments.

Studies show the mere mention of installing window treatments is one of the leading causes of hunting, fishing, car cruises, and hiding in the shop among retired men... :coffee:

Studies also show getting too much done at one time is like a grill full of food, sends one running fer cover afterwards!!  ;)  Evening peoples 38 now , the kid and I and pooches of course headed down south of Mankato this morning,  kinda  surprised we found a place to walk with all the others out but managed 1 with another that got away on state land. Maisy just keeps getting better at 11 months,  Remi is doing good yet at just shy of 11yrs but he sure is soar and will be tomorrow.  Almost thinking on injections to help his arthritis but we'll see. Anywho the kids, pooches and kitty cat are coming over fer the game tomorrow,  not too mention Momma will be coming home from her girly 5 day mission,  spose I best do dishes anyway...

He's on that along with fish oil ( omega 3). He gets a vet approved dog aspirin the day before the hunt and a day or 2 after.  He can't jump in the backseat anymore but can still make the bed or couch, so once he can't do those I might just say your staying home. The injection tho, the neighbors have a 14 yr old lab that gets them,  he moves slow but still gets around which helps.
