markn, how was your hide count this year. We still have the boxes out (usually take them in after the first week or two of muzzleloader.
So far it looks like we will take in about the same as the past two years. Did you watch 10:00 PM WCCO news a couple days ago. The had a very good bit about MDHA and our Hides for Habitat program. Jarred got in a few words as well. It was a very positive story about MDHA and what we do.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Morning boys.  Happy Thanksgiving! 18 here and heading for 22. Ground and mixed up some sausage last night. Going to stuff and start smoking that today.  We had our turkey dimmer last Saturday when the kids were here hunting.  Mike the new car is great. We do have to bring it back for some warranty  work. 2 of the tire sensors quit working before we even got out of IFalls the nightbwe got it. But hunting  season  got in the way of getting  the car in. We also can't  figure out the wireless charger.  I will get it over there sometime  next month. Have a good one boys.
Hey look your bobber is up!

My JD project took a turn to the south yesterday. Should have read the instructions first. Anywho, we're having roast beef today, smashed tators, corn and some other stuff. After spending a ton of time with my Norwegian grandparents on the farm while growing up that's all I need. And apple pie.
Deadeye, our hide count is down from last year. We're at 400 something. Still have the boxes out, see what Tuesday brings as far as pulling them. Thawed out 16 in the garage and salted them yesterday. I did watch the WCCO bit the other night. I wish they would have went a little farther on how many hides we have done and how much money has been generated fro it. Still a good deal. Happy Thanksgiving again everyone, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 18 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-20's. Chores done both places, Treated our sheep at the neighbor's pasture to a couple more buckets of ground fall apples. Had breakfast meself along with a little tincture in my coffee. Turkey's getting closer to hitting the coals. Got plenty of them in the grill today because it's chilly. Wife wondered if it'd be ready by 12:30. Told her I reckon so. Should give me a chance to shower & have a few G&T's, just like the Pilgrims.  :coffee:
