Morning boys. -9 here this morning  :cold: and not going to change much from there. Going to need to get some more firewood cut again. Probably tonight's project. I think it is supposed to be done snowing for a couple days now. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  We have -10 with a little breeze.  Gonna be a stay warm day here.  I put the pot of soup on the table on the deck to chill off and it froze to the table.  Will have to break it loose once the sun comes out.  OR wait till spring.  LOL  Nothing else going on and am fine with that.   Have a good one and be careful out there.

Good Morning, we had a very light dusting of snow overnight. 14 to start the day. Plan on spending the day in the shop. The wood stove is kicking out some nice heat.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 12 at choretime with temps falling to around 5 above by 5 p.m. I'm on "good husband" duty today. Brought the wife's car in to get the snow tires put on. Ford Fusions are not great cars in the snow w/o them so needed to happen soon. Shop here is swamped. Made the appt. 3 weeks ago. Tomorrow I get the pickup in for an oil change & survey the exhaust manifold situation on the 5.7 hemi. They're notorious for that & felt fortunate it waited this long. Friday I get the Buick in to fix the rear window & an oil change. Will probably start driving that again for the winter afterwards. roony has all the nice places to hide by the warm fire... :pouty:

Didn't take long and the dogs were lifting a cold leg when we loaded up the stove and were going to grain Bucko.  I left them in the shop and went to the barn alone.  A quick pee and poop and they need to head for the house.

Was 0 at choretime with a 15 mph wind gusting to 25. WC -19 so Poppy dawdled more quickly than usual. All was well in the barn. Nothing good happens after 10 p.m. & I ain't going back out until morning.  :coffee:

But first I need to go to town to visit a friend who's going through rehab at the one nursing homes and then back out to the camper because I forgot a remote the Mrs. needs for her tv guy visit tomorrow. I don't think we need it, but........who knows more than my wife. I didn't say that out loud did I? Have a great day everyone. later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. -24 here this morning. Heading for a high of-5 today. Doing a little work from home this morning. Need to bring the wife to see the doc this morning for a follow up appointment. Then I will finish out the day working from home. Nice having that option. Of course though I have a new laptop from work and nothing wants to work today. I made everything worked when I had it at work. Now to of my main softwares won't connect.  :angry2: Things I will have to figure out when we get back from the doctor appointment. Otherwise a kinda day in the salt mines.  ;) Have a good one boys.

Good Morning All.  Have to say it is brisk this morning.  Showing -21 with a real feel of -34. On the positive side it is supposed to warm up to an amazing -6 this afternoon.  The lake is cracking and booming this morning so loud it is driving the dog nuts.  I think I will just stay in and do something warm today.

Good luck with both the Dr and the laptop JB.

Good morning! Feeling warmer than you guys, we have minus 4 here and it's suppose to get up to 6 today. Have a guy coming today to see where we have wires, gas lines, and water lines. It sounds like fiber optic hookup is in our future. Probably a year or more off.

Morning boys.  As mentioned we have -21 with a -37 wind chill.  It's a cold one.  The annual outdoor seafood sale is today here at the grocery store.  It is so darn cold a lot of times when they have it.  I want some of those huge shrimp, scallops, and a couple of small lobsters.  IF I make it in this weather.  We shall see.  I will wait and let it warm up some first.  Thinking burgers for supper.  Be safe out there.

Mornin gang, we have 0, only (-10 WC), here & we could make it all the way up to 10 today. Tried to get my bloodwork done yday early but they didn't have my paperwork yet. :bonk: The admission's clerk said she'd get it sent over but it's be about 45 minutes before she could. So, I said I'll see you on Friday then. Ended up having to call the clinic myself to make sure it got done & it was a good thing I did. Other than the cold, it looks like just another day here. So, I'll be headed to the Y here shortly. Have a good day.

I have always had one and my second one just conked out.   I see they are a lot smaller now with the same amps.  Menards has one on sale for $119.  It is 1500 amps.  ???  I too would like to know if the small ones work as good as heavier ones.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -6 for the overnite low, -2 at choretime (WC -11), heading for a high around 6 above. A trace of snow from yesterday morning, otherwise clear sailing. Was cold enough after chores so I made a big batch of my T105N R21W sec. 7 famous spaghetti. Warmed the house up then warmed us up. Not good for my A1c perhaps but not like I eat it every day. Pick 'em up started fine after sleeping outside overnite so it's in getting an oil change & assessing the exhaust manifold situation. Not an easy nor a cheap fix but I'd rather not be dead from breathing carbon monoxide when sitting too long. Need to plug the battery charger in and see what the Buick says later today. Beater with a heater's turn at the shop tomorrow.  :coffee:

I have had one of the little ones for 3 or 4 year now. It has gotten me out of some jams a few times. I even started my tractor with it once. I charge it up twice a year so its ready when I need it.

I have one of the jump packs. Nice compact unit. Supposed to be able to jump start a semi. Weird brand from Amazon. But a coworker had the same brand for a couple years and really liked it. So the price was reduced like 40% one day so I got it. Works well on the old JD 720 at deer camp to.

We have a couple Stanley 1000 W battery packs. The old 1 doesn't hold a charge that long anymore & it stays up at the lake. The new 1 stays in our car when we're traveling very far. Last 1 we bought was on sale for ~ $70 from Walmart at Christmas time.

Morning boys.  We have -14 which is better than the -23 that was predicted.  No big plans other than keep the home fire burning.  I just got my insulated cover for my new Pitt Boss so need to think of something to cook this weekend.  I sure like it.  Well you all have a good one and stay safe.

Good morning All.  I have a 1500amp one I carry in my boat in the summer and in my truck in the winter.  Thing has saved my arse a couple times and once I went to use it I found it was only about half charged.  Some how it did not hold the charge.  So moral of the story is to charge them up every once in a while even though you are not supposed to have to.
