Jon fixed  the oil leaks too so at least the tractor won't be marking its territory when I park it anymore.  :embarrassed:
How will you ever find your way back home now?

Morning boys. -3 here and heading for a high of zero they are saying. We have a different groups friends come up fishing yesterday. They will be here until Sunday. Got fishing little before noon. Took some thinking and big planks to get my buddies wheel house across the crack. Hopefully on Sunday the crack is a little more solid. It was about 3 feet wide yesterday and the ice was only a couple inches thick. Otherwise just getting ready to head out fishing soon. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  -2 here.  And yes yikes JB.  I used to be that adventurous but not as much anymore.  LOL  Well the TV reception is nil here today.  Can't get in any channel so I don't get to see the farm report before the local news this morning.  I would not like to be the cable guy in this cold weather.  Unless some hot babe asked me to come in and adjust something.  LOL   Just keep things warm and stay out of trouble is the theme here today.  That's ok with me.  The wife and I have been sneezing a little more the last few days and I may be slightly stuffed up.  May just be the stuck inside with the pooches and Bob??  Well TGIF and everyone's favorite college coach and team will be playing tonight.  KFAN will have a good Friday Football Feast this morning too.  Gonna be a good day.  JB and the rest of you, stay safe.  We don't need anymore injuries here.  Scenic I hope you get all fixed up and fairly pain free.

Mornin gents, it's 10 here & we might see 17. We had some phone/internet issues here early today after Mediacom was down for some maintenance overnight. When they finished all of our service didn't come back on line. We had a tech out about a month ago for the same thing & he found that there was a problem with a splitter we use on our phone lines. Seems as though it was that same culprit again as unplugging that & then plugging it back in did the trick again today. Not much on my list again today, have a good day.

I'm headed to Royalton right after lunch to look at an enclosed trailer. If the frame isn't rusted all to crap it will be coming home with me. Made the last payment on the Kubota yesterday at the bank, feels great. Now I can start looking for a skid-steer....since my bride said I can't have/need one. Might have to remind her 300' of our yard will be torn up next Summer for a new sewer and will turn into a 300' ditch the following Spring when it settles. Wheel weights look great Dotch, correct color too. Get well and good luck Scenic. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 6 at choretime, heading for a high in the lower teens. Lambs are doing pretty well in the cold so far. Doesn't sound like it's going to let up anytime soon so they'll be some tough little buggers. The oil leak on the tractor didn't leave much of a trail but every time you'd park it, it'd leave a spot 6" - 12" where Hy Tran dripped off the 3 pt. Was an "o" ring worn out on the female coupling he replaced. Luckily most of the dead spots are where you can't see them from the road. Always a great feeling to have stuff paid off markn. Newer stuff usually means lower repair bills too, at least for a while. Are you in love with Tyne Morgan on US Farm Report Barry? C'mon, you can tell Uncle Dotch! :rotflmao: My buddy Bill is altho who wouldn't be? I've gotten to know her over many years on the Crop Tour. She treats me well. I've helped her get some interviews from some folks outside of Crop Tour occasionally. When I decide I've done my last Tour, she'll be the 1st journalist I tell.

You have peaked my interest.  I can't remember which one she is.  The blond that is on most days?  I will pay more attention once our cable TV is back on.  The only channel we get is CSPAN so we have the vote for speaker of the house on now. What a slow game they play. LOL

Tyne is the host of US Farm Report. It's their weekend wrap up and frequently she shows up elsewhere. Might be Michelle Rook, too, another blond but she's usually not behind a desk, more often out in the field reporting. Watching either of them would beat the hell out of watching C SPAM.

Mornin guys, we've got 3 to the + side here but it feels like -10 with that NW wind @ 8. We could see 17, I hear. I don't usually go to the Y on weekends often, normally it's a bit busier, but I think  I will today as I haven't been up there but once this week. Not much else on the horizon here, have a great day.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -2 at choretime, heading for a high around 10. Wind chill -12 presently altho it really didn't feel too bad doing chores. Done with outdoor time until noon bottle feeding. Manufacture some oatmeal & see what we can get into today. Still a partial load of hay to unload & stack yet but thinking that'll be this afternoon's project. Can clean up some messes including the dishes inside then put the wife's summer tires back in the garage. One bag of feed needs to find its way to the barn yet too. Poppy's mad because her sliding glass door is froze shut & the squirrels are taunting her. Should probably thaw that out for her or she'll drive me nuts. Betting markn got his trailer & jb has become a pole vault star!  :coffee:

Morning boys.  We have a refreshing -14 here in the far north.  Maybe JB's hole froze shut.  LOL  I envy Mark getting that trailer.  Have always thought one would be handy.  I also wonder how Scenic is doing.  He is #1 at this point.   I don't envy him.  Did a quick in and out and man the deck popped at every step.  Sounded like it was breaking.  I feel for Bucko on these days.  Hay is the best thing to keep him warm.  He has 2 round bales to pick from that is nice green grass hay.  I even pick the spot in the field it comes from every year.  I grain him everyday in the cold weather but you can only give them so much grain too.  I do about 2-3 lbs of oats that have soybean oil on them so they aren't dusty with a soup can of Senior sweet feed added to it.  Grain doesn't really warm them up they just like it.  Gives him a boost in energy.  Too much grain is a very bad thing and can lead to founder.   Is that pretty accurate Dotch?  I have researched it for years and it is hard to find a simple answer when it comes to graining horses.  My program seems to work.  Now I need to find something for me to cook today to help get me through these cold days.  And I don't want to founder neither.   LOL   Well time for more coffee.   See ya all later.
