That's the same place Barry. Good eats, great drinks. Still have the Coke machine covers on bathroom doors. I did repurpose some of the pocket shelving into a storage area for fasteners. Now they're in one spot and not four different ones. I may have to install a couple of doors on it now. Pictures below. -20 here now, thinks I may stay in the house today. Here's something us football guys can ponder, with the recent obvious blatant favoritism in the NFL recently what are the refs going to do if the Rams play the Chiefs in the Superbowl??????? Morning boys. -21 here and supposed to make it to -10 today. Made it to Aitkin and back yesterday. Got home around 7ish last night. We visited with my parents and my brother and his wife for a few hours yesterday. My Dad could be doing better. His stubborness is not helping him get his butt out of the nursing home. It was also good to visit with my brother and his wife. Found out right after New Year's that she has breast cancer. Luckily they say it is early. They said she is at stage zero. She is having a double mastectomy on February 5th. At the moment no radiation or chemo. Today's top activity will be to fill the wood shed back up. Sure burned a ton of wood this past week. Have a good one boys.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -12 at choretime heading for a high near 0. Overachieved yesterday with a high around 12 above. So far things were OK outside. Discovered a leak in the cold water supply hose to the washing machine so will likely make a FF run after it warms up a little. Will have to shut the water off in the house temporarily as the shutoff valve is stuck. Ah, the joys of plumbing in a house built in the 1800's & added onto several times, much of it on the cheap. File it under the "Who did this?" category. I see it's already up to -11 I see. Decided last nite it was a good day to defrost the garage freezer so can mess with that between bottle feedings and chores. Otherwise it'll be a mostly inside day. Looks like I should turn you loose in my garage markn. I don't even know where to start there.

i see myself going outdoors 2 times today..........to do my daily walkabout and to set the garbage out!!!!!!! may fire up the truck and let that warm up also......hopefully it starts at 4;30 tomorrow morning!!!!!! should help with anew battery!!!!

Morning boys.  We are up to a balmy -16.  Was -21.  Out internet keeps going in and out today.  No TV at the moment.  Sure hope that kicks back in before noon.  I still have to go out and "tend" my fire like Roony says.  I like it.  We do have a breeze here but not terrible.  Great Home Page story.  I have had 5 yellow labs and now Jake is my first pure Golden.  Had one black lab. Cooper is a half and half.  Love them both.  I was addicted to duck and goose hunting so had labs for that.  Now I don't waterfowl anymore and they are just my buddies.  Hard to be without them. Ok will catch up and then out into the cold.  Be safe out there.

Morning boys. -25 here and heading for a high of -18 it says.  I cut a bunch of firewood and loaded up the wood shed yesterday. Then I went and fired up the heat in the fish house. I have today off of work so I will try fishing for awhile. Then I need to get the fish house out of the big donut hole. I like having time off work, but I don't like having this holiday over presidents day or good Friday. Which is what we used to get before last year. Oh well. Going to brave the cold and hope the heat stayed on in the fish house. Have a good one boys.

Like Mike it's -21 here also. I put a couple of doors on the new cabinet in the garage. They look terrible and I'll try to fix them today. Never was a very good wood-worker and the best I can make with wood is sawdust. Later.....

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -12 at choretime, heading for a high around -5. Managed to stay warm thru a couple more action packed chore sessions. No newbies so that's a plus. Dressed about right for it with multiple layers & a face gaiter. Can see I'll have to haul a few 5 gallon buckets of water tonite to the outside water tank as the hydrant on the well pit tends to freeze up top. That'll warm me up. Just glad I added some additional bales of cornstalks Friday on top of the well pit. Be nice to get rid of that and put the pressure tank in the basement. It'll cost some $ to do it but it'd be worth it based on resale value & peace of mind. Speaking of the basement, repaired the hose on the washing machine yesterday after a run to FF. Easy fix, just didn't have a hose repair kit handy. Restocked on furnace filters & birdseed. Wife let me drive the warm car to FF & to work today as she didn't want to go anyplace. No frozen butt today. Stay warm everone! 🔥🔥🔥

Good morning All.  It's COLD!!!!  Seems to have warmed up to -21 with a real feel of -44 at the moment.  Good day to just stay inside I think. Not that I was going to venture out much anyway.   They say one more night of this stuff and then a break in the weather.
