I noticed the large amount of Poppy grenades scattered all over the yard the other day. With no snow I can't rely on the snowblower to fling them off the cliff on El Capitan. 

IF i used a snowblower on Shadow's "grenades"........i'd need a massive amount of shear pins!!!!!!

No kidding Barry. This is a Binford snowblower glenn. Takes something bigger than a dog log on this one. Can hear the terds clinking when they go through it. They're like bullets. If it ever does snow enough so I have to move it, I'll have to be extra careful to play the wind & keep the chute aimed properly.

I have a dedicated galvanized garbage can for the dog turds.  Same size as the sunflower seeds can. I double bag it with the bags and keep it right where I use it.  When we go camping I take it along.  The wife even buys scented bags for it.  LOL  Have a pooper scooper that works better than I thought it would.  Have to kick the turds to break them loose first.  Man it is still cold out.  Glad spring is right around the corner.

i'm sorta a mini packrat.....have a hard time throwing stuff out unless its totally shot. in the winter for dog turds i use the bigger softner salt bags, lawn fertilizer bag types.

summer i throw them out weekly but i use smaller bags. yep thee ole pooper scooper here to!!!!!! even got one at the cabin.....turds hit the woods though!!!

If you ever watched Tool Time on Home Improvement, that's where the Binford reference comes from. With ~ 60 hp & a 7' swath, it can fling a lot of dog terds in a hurry.

went outside an hour ago and the remote start wouldn't start the car..  got in and turned the key, got it started..  was happy with that!!  car had been sitting outside since Friday afternoon...  decided to check the truck, 1 amp charger on it now...   should start later today or tomorrow..  -1 now, 16 degrees warmer than yesterday already...

Call me an odd duck but I'm out every day picking up after the dogs, the amount of fetch that goes on here i don't need them smearing it deep in there paws and bringing it in the house. My neighbors you ask? The Texacans behind us with 1 little dog and 2 big dogs haven't picked any up in around 6 yrs or better, the lazy Caucasians to my right bout twice a year,  when the yard or jungle gets cut... I'd love to see the inside of these houses..

i generally pick up every day also...... with some minor exceptions!
my favorite neighbor  to the north of me is absolutely anal...... if there's a a leafin his landscape rocks he's out with the leafblower!!!

the neighbors right to the south of me are like your Texacans..... 3 perfectly healthy females!!!! but they have a fence so......

My black Lab was like that. She always took her dump out in the field, never in the yard. Now the Sheltie & 1st Border Collie had special talents. They loved to sneak off & eat the crayons in the marking harnesses we put on the rams when they weren't in use. Pretty soon we had a yard full of red, blue, & orange dog terds. At least they were easy to see.

Back when we had our labs. The wife trained them to go poop out in the woods. And they were really good about it too.

mornin all, 22 now and that is about the high for today..  sounds like the temp will be dropping all day into the below 0 area for tonight and then colder tomorrow..  roller coaster time..  going to make run to to town today and get that done for the week.. don't need much so it won't take long..    have a good day all!!

Morning boys. We have 5 and I think it may be dropping all day to get to -20 or so tonight.  Then tomorrow the real warm up starts. I have head to town to day to ship a package that I forgot about yesterday with the cold we had.  I have a buddy coming over the oogle over my new excavator so will have the garage all warmed up.  The accessories I ordered should be here to day too.  You all have a good one and enjoy hump day.

Morning boys. About the same temp as LPS this morning. We have about 5" of fresh lite snow over night. The NW wind is blowing it around nicely. I was unable to get on here earlier this morning. Not sure what was up with that. Anywho, just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

We adopted him at 16 months and always wondered if someone had trained him to do that.

Not too much going on today, meeting in Starbuck tonight is about it. I did get my cabinet doors remounted and adjusted so they look much better than they did. Happy about that. Lenny just got done with his morning "zoomies" so he's now laying on the floor sleeping. Our last two springers would crap in the woods too. This one he makes sure he does it right where I walk to the garage. Doesn't matter if I go out the porch door behind the house or the out the front of the house garage. There's a yard bomb laying there. Later....

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 19 at choretime, heading for a high in the upper 20's.Wind howled pretty good last nite. Down this a.m. & felt almost tropical during chores. Sounds like we get a brief encore of the cold tonite & tomorrow, then back to our regularly scheduled programming. Gotta haul a couple lambs in to the locker tomorrow so will try to load them up late afternoon before it gets cold. Be nice to get those two outta there cuz they're taking up space where we usually have the creep feeder. The lambs we had in Dec. & early Jan. are definitely big enough & it would speed up chores immensely. All those little pens add at least 5 minutes per pen onto chores by the time they each get a feed pan, a slice of hay and a bucket of warm water hauled from the house. When we can feed in groups, America wins!

morning fellers........23 here......not sure its gonna get below 0 tonight but yea supposed to be chilly again. keeping a close eye on the temps up north. thinking next week????? brother and his kid may be going up super bowl weekend......i might delay my trip to cross over for a day or 2. just makes more sense to do it that way as long as the cabin is already heated up!!!!

not much planned for the day....trip to the library!!!!
