Morning boys.   We have +5 here this morning.  It has been awhile since we have had an above 0 here in the morning.  Should see mid 20's today and for the next week to 10 days.  A retired buddy is coming over today to check out the excavator and help me put the hydraulic thumb on it plus other add ons.  Should be fun.  I need to make a feed run for oats for Bucko too soon.  TGIF, man it has been a long week with the cold.  Spring is right around the corner.  LOL

Roony, so sorry to hear about your dear friend.  Good thing his family got there to see him and I am sure you were in their conversations and thoughts too.  May he RIP.  Like you said you still have your great memories with him.

Remember yesterday I told you about the almost new furnace filter that wasn't letting enough air into the furnace.  Our house has been a little cool this last cold stretch.  I just put that new filter in a couple of weeks ago. We just haven't been warm enough and the furnace has been running more than it should even though it was cold.  Changing that filter made a huge difference.  I am going to look at it closer to see if I can tell why it failed.  Glad I noticed it before the fan or something else failed.

In Perham last night for a meeting, headed to Deer Creek for straw bales shortly. Good thing I changed oil last week. Take a Kid Fishing is tomorrow here. It's free and the kids have a blast catching the rainbow trout we stock in the pond. When I haul them back to the parking lot and ask if they caught anything the smiles are huge. Especially if they caught one. One more cup of coffee and I'm off. LPS, you feed Bucko from "a far" with that new toy. A scoop a day should do it. :happy1: Have a great day everyone, later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Sorry to hear about your friend rooney.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! Overnite low of -1 around 10 p.m., 9 above at choretime, heading for a high in the mid-20's. Long nite in the lambing barn. Was worn out so went out to feed bottle lambs a little early so I could go to bed a earlier. So much for that idea. Was a ewe that had lambed. I came back inside to ask for assistance and things went south from there. When we came back, the ewe came flying out of the barn like a rocket, leaving the poor lamb behind. After many attempts to coax her back in with the Mrs. riding my @$$, I told her to go back to the house, I'd handle it. Waited about 15 minutes for things to calm down, got a couple slices of hay & a bunch of them came back in, including the ewe that had lambed. Caught her, stuffed her in a pen with the lamb, tossed her some hay, & got her a bucket of warm water. The ewe was one of those bat$hit crazy yearlings, wound like a top. Left her alone to chill. Went out at 1:30 a.m., held onto the ewe & allowed the lamb to nurse or at least make sure it did. This morning, all was better. Ewe was still nuts but was letting the lamb nurse while she dug into her feed. Getting too old for this crap.
