I did get to town for parts yesterday, but nothing done. Lenny decided to try to rip one of his dewclaws off so I spent most of the afternoon trying to get it back in place and cleaning up the mess in the house. My vet told me when I got him a year ago they don't remove them anymore or doc the tails. Have a great day all, later.... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. We are looking at 28 already.  We did get an inch or so of snow too.  Was hoping for a dry day so I could get the truck washed.  I may just do it anyways to get the salt off of it. Thanks JB.  May get a cheeseburger to eat while I wash the truck.  Darn Mark I bet that hurts the boy.  I sure liked it when they took them off as pups.  Nothing but a hassle and a thing to get hooked on stuff.  Glenn you be careful too.  I wish I could get there in time for Gunner to buy me breakfast.  LOL  Sounds good.  I am taking the boys for a ride to Greebush to see the Vet today.  We are getting blood tests on Jake to get a baseline in cases he has a shaking episode again.  Sure hope he doesn't.  It is pretty traumatic for us and him.  It happened twice so far, 6 months apart and only lasted about 30 seconds.  He is awake and looking at us for help but he can't get up.  That is hard to take.  He is such a good boy too.  The wife gave him a bath the other day so he is ready for the Vet.  So you all have a good day and be safe.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 19 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 40's. Windy as all get out already. Barn cleaning on tap shortly. Can't beat fun like that for a good time. Bummer jb. Good thing you have spare horses. Sucks too markn. Not sure why they no longer remove dew claws but they're a hassle. Hopefully they can help you with Jake Barry. I know some have prescribed stuff in these parts for seizure related incidents successfully. Stay out if the ditch glenn if mikey sends you any emails!

I bet it feels good to be back gunner,  even if I worked today you'd a been ahead of me a smidge. Had a doc appointment earlier then decided to punish myself a little more and let both pooches take me on a 1 mile stroll. Been a while we were off beat, one dog would go on one side of a mail box and the other would do the opposite,  carrying 2 poop bags and fighting these guys were a treat. Got back decided since it's so nice out to take down the Xmas lights, 2 beers later we're done.. Anywho 1 more evening of cooking solo then I pick up the bride tomorrow at the airport. If I clean this place she'll know somethings up.....

Bad news, boober! Won't make it there to help clean up. Flat tire on the spreader with a load on. Tore one of those long valve stems off when I rubbed the wheel making a tight turn with the skidsteer. It's like working in a broom closet sometimes around here. Then I see the skidsteer is leaking transmission fluid & marking its territory again. Crappy day.  :doah:

I did hit the car wash in Warroad and made it home fairly clean.  Much better than it was so that makes me feel good.  I did have that Dairy Queen double cheese burger and a small strawberry shake.  The lady at the window could put the Mon and Fri girls to shame.  Very nice too.

Yes she was hot and had a great rack that with her sweatshirt half unzipped I had to smile.  So did she.  AND by the way Jakes blood work turned out just great.  SO gave us some vitamins and keep and eye on it.  He may never do it again and if it does keep happening or more frequent we will do something but not till then.

Morning boys. 7 here and heading for 20 it says. Last night I got the snow shoveled off of the blazer and parked that in the garage to thaw out. Put the battery charger on it. Needed to use the jump pack to start it. I will go thru and check all the fluids in it tonight. The wife has a hair appointment tonight, so we will ride together today. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Dbl cheeseburger and strawberry shake. Thanks LPS now I have an excuse to go to town for lunch today. Trailer lights done, working on the winch now. I ordered an aluminum toolbox to mount on the front for the battery and ratchet straps. Won't be here for 10 days. I just hope a 5,000 pound winch is big enough. Later,  :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  We have 9, oops just dropped to 8, but may hit 27 today.  I see we got just a touch of snow last night.  Don't have to go anywhere that I can think of today so a nice day at the ranch. Will start a fire in the wood burner today to keep the slab warm. I browned some chuck stew meat yesterday and will put it in the crock pot today with some yukons, carrots, onions, etc.  Haven't had beef stew for quite awhile. That will feed us for a few days.  Started a good book in a series of 8 books last night so will enjoy that some today too.  It's about a tough detective in Ohio who returned to his home town to clean up the riff raff.  Good stuff.  Well you all have a good day.

Morning fellers  phone says 12 above.  No wind. Gonna be nice not having to setup the fishhouse.

Think I'll sit in the spearhouse all day today.  Tomorrow morning in the spearhouse then in the afternoon drown some minners for crappies  :happy1:

Mornin gang, we had 13 early & we're aiming for 25. We both got a couple things on our lists, so we're headed to town today as well. We're going to get a haircut too. No more now, have a good day.

Mornin' gulag comrades! 25 at choretime, heading for a high in the the low 40's. We topped out at 50 yesterday which was good as disastrous as it was. Along with the flat tire on the chitspreader & oil leak on the skidsteer of course there had to be a new lamb born outside so had to deal with that when I went out to feed the bottle lamb. After putting the spreader tire on just before dark, today the plan is to unload the spreader after lunch & haul the last 2 loads I busted loose and piled in one corner of the barn. Hopefully I can limp the skidsteer thru 2 loads & back the corn wagon back in the barn where it belongs. Have someone riding my @$$ about setting up the creep feeder because "we have all kinds of ewes close to lambing". Believe me, I know. Too many of the damn things.
