Morning gang, we had -7 when I looked early & I'm seeing 17 for the high. We could see a little snow around 6 or 7 is what the hourly says. I printed off my own 1099 from SSA the other day, so I finished my taxes yday & e-filed them. Normally no hurry there, but I'm getting a refund from both of 'em this year. Nothin big planned here, have a great day.

I didn't get to town to get my bride her Valetines gifts. Have to do that today. Reason was my skid loader showed up at lunchtime yesterday instead of today. I did get to play around with it, joystick controls are going to be a learning curve for me. Used to hand and foot controls, Melroe Bobcat. Got the big chunks cleaned out of the cab, dust wiped off and front windshield cleaned. Need to find an operator's manual. Alot of bells and whistles. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 8 above at choretime, heading for a high in the mid-20's. Snow is supposed to commence after 2 p.m. so I got some things to get done around home before that starts. Plugged the tractor in so I can put the chains on if I think it's warranted. I'll put more gas in the skidsteer so that'll be ready should that look like a better option. Shearing still on schedule for tomorrow last I knew so looking forward to having that major hassle out of the way. Hopefully no one gets killed or maimed...  :coffee:

Good luck on your appt. Scenic! Hopefully you make it to the shop right on schedule.  :happy1:

Morning boys.  I slept late and it felt great.  We have 2 and should see 12 today.  Not till next Wed does it start the climb to freedom.  Upper 30's.  LOL  It's coming.  We may go out to eat tonight but not a for sure thing till it happens.  Once the wife gets done working she may want to just stay home nice a comfortable.  Either way I like it. Good luck at the Dr. Scenic.  Mark I envy you with that new toy.   Let's all have a great day.

Went to the drug store for the wife, picked up my raffle tickets and then a stop at Cenex. A "C" note later the truck was full of gas and I had 10 gallons of #1 diesel for the skid loader. Also crushed a 55 gallon barrel full of cans while adding a couple more. A lot of Hamms cans in there for some reason. Blew out radiator and hydro cooler, they'll need some more done when it's warm enough to use pressure washer. With the bucket off I got to look at the basket on the skid loader and that's the bad news for the day. Pins and bushings on the basket and loader arms are not in very good shape. Nothing a few bucks, a few hours of labor and some acetylene with oxygen can't fix. Need parts book now, later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Good morning All.  -4 here this morning heading for 15 they say.  The snow missed us again.  Not real sure what is in the plans for today yet.  Some shop time for sure

Appointment went pretty good.  These old bones are healing good but the tendon is going to be  a while yet.   Been released to put slight pressure on my leg.  30lbs for the next couple of weeks.  Tested that out a bit yesterday and it did feel pretty good.  6 weeks of chair bound has been more than plenty for me.

Mark those joysticks take some getting used to.  I still find myself looking for the foot petals and pulling back on the handles.  It was pretty frustrating and funny at the same time for the first couple hours of running a newer machine.   I am just glad I was not in any tight places with it.   What machine are you running?

Mornin gents, -4 here & we might see 14. I stepped out back of the garage about 6 last night & could feel some moisture hitting me in the face but could only see an occasional snowflake then. It was still spitting but much easier to see around 10 when I stepped out again. I'd guess < 1/2" total. I'll probably wander out here in a bit & give that a closer look. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Morning boys. -14 here and heading for 3 above. I was out in the fish house before 7 this morning. Off to a slow start again. Only caught 3 fish so far. A 12" sauger that wouldn't go back down. A 21" walleye that went back and a 11" inch perch. Having trouble with the holes freezing this morning too. May need to check my banking job. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  We have -8 at the moment. May see +6 today.  Not a lot going on here today and that is great with me.  It's a long weekend with the wife home on Mon for Pres Day.  Still in my sweats and in no hurry to go outside.  It will happen though.  Just no yet.  LOL   Will start another good book today too.  6 weeks already Scenic?
That went fast.  Have a good one.

Evening fellow gulag comrades! Started out at 19 & got to 26 for a high. Another .7" of snow at the ranch. Got shearing half done. We opted to shear only the 24 ewes & 1 ram in the lambing barn as it stays warmer in there when it's cold. They were so stubborn about going inside but at least they were fairly dry. Had lots of help today so that made it easier. Good job to have done. We'll get the other barn another weekend.

Morning boys.  Slept great last night.  Dogs are fed and been outside so time for coffee.  Can hear the wife moving around too so things are about to get going here.  LOL  I think we are going shopping today.  No sense in waiting for a warm day to do it.  I am thinking mushroom swiss burger at Glenn's favorite anniversary stop, Hardees.  We have -18 and should see +2 if we are lucky.  Hope it is not too windy.  No football so need to entertain ourselves I guess.  Stay warm out there.

Used the Cat to plow the driveway yesterday, seemed to do alright. Backing up and turning is an experience. Pretty much have to think you're backing up a trailer, turn left to go right and visa versa. It's Napcar's Super Bowl today which means it's an afternoon of grazing on as much junk food as I can handle. Speaking of which that I read this morning the NFL would like to have its Super Bowl on President's Day weekend too same day as Nascar's Daytona 500. So, two weeks between the championship games and Super Bowl isn't enough? They need three weeks? Later......... :happy1: :happy1:
