Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -8 at choretime, was -3 on the way in to Bugtussle & expecting a high in the low-double digits. Another action packed evening in the lambing barn. Wound up pulling a big, dead ewe lamb ~2:30 a.m. My asset is dragging & my back is starting to hurt. The good news is we're whittling them down. That was ewe #25 to lamb out of 36. Appears another one is relatively imminent, then it'll be anybody's guess on 8 or so more. There appear to be 3 that are nowhere near close to coming in for a while. When we get done lambing, time for a come to Jesus meeting. I can't do this anymore the way we're doing it. I'll be 67 in a few weeks. Definitely more to life than this nonsense.
good luck bud with that meeting....... need a Union thug to help negotiate???  :happy1: :rotflmao: there's always going on strike!!!!!! :surrender: :happy1:

Sat outside with a cocktail at HH since it was so nice.  Had to put my hood up as it wasn't as nice as I thought. Had a couple of sips.   LOL   Stays light a lot longer.  Feels good.

Morning boys.  It is 3 er up to 4 now and should see 23 today.   :happy1:  I did get the burn pile plowed out yesterday.  I had the gate open and wasn't paying attention and Bucko got out and went down the hwy to the neighbors house.  I drove over with the plow truck and he started jumping and bucking when he saw me and trotted right down the middle of the hwy right back home.  Trotted right back into the pasture and stopped at his hay bales.  LOL  Was almost too smooth.  So now I want to get the new excavator out there to pick some nice dead elm out of the pile to turn into firewood.  That may or may not happen today.  We shall see.  You all have a good day today.  TGIF

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! -1 for an overnite low, 0 at choretime, heading for a high in the upper teens. Already up to 9 here at last check so wondering if we won't break 20 later today. We overachieved yesterday, topping out at 16 at the ranch. Waseca had 19, Owatonna was 17 & Albert's Leaf made 16, well above their forecast highs. Today, a south wind at 14 mph, gusting to 21 taking a little of the fun out of it. Another set of twins born last nite. Looking like 3 more ewes aren't far off. Need to make another feed run & mayhaps go to FF. Auntie Mar Mar bought me a seed cylinder bird seed thingy which I have no feeder for. Also should get some lag screws to repair one hay manger. The plan is to move a bunch of lambs to the main barn tomorrow after I go get a trailer full of hay again. No rest for the wicked.  :coffee:

Good news glenn! Can climb back atop the flour pallet to yer mattress with confidence.  :happy1:

I was going to play outside today but that wind is canceling out the 21 temp.  Still saying 38 for tomorrow so why do it today when it can wait till tomorrow.  :sleazy:

Ya the wind has a little snap to it. As always Afternoon peoples 26 and sunny here, got home and little bit ago did my daily routine picked up yard bombs, grabbed my hockey stick and shot balls fer the pooches.  With the detached garage I'll rifle em over the house from the driveway,  sure enough I duffed one and it got stuck on the roof. Maisy pounded the backyard searching until I got a ladder and roof rake, but I got it. Anywho another week in the books, gotta take firewood invy and see if more is needed downstairs....See ya!!

Mornin all, we've got 17 here & we might see 37. It looks like that wind might even take a break today too. :happy1: We had a small patch of blue on the radar when I 1st peeked at it & there is a real light dusting of snow out back. I've got 3-4 small outside projects that I've been putting off in mind for my start to this day. Will have to see how that goes before I attempt much else. 'Bout it here, hopin your Saturday's a good 1.

Morning boys.  We are sitting at 24 here and should see about 38 today.  I see we are at 10:37 of daylight.  Thinking of smoking my bacon today.  I think there is too much snow on my burn pile to get a fire going.  Will check it out.  Man the birds are filling the feeder.  Good thing I filled it yesterday.  Gonna be a great day.  I am having a heck of a time getting the right fittings to hook up my thumb on my excavator.  Ordered 2 fittings but they are not quite right so back to the drawing board.  I need metric fittings going from M14 to M12. Always another challenge.  All part of the fun. Enjoy this great weather.
