Mornin gents, 31 here & we should see 42. Brother wanted to pull some of the snow off the roof yday until I got him to go take a look at it. The only place there was much up there was too close to the peak where we couldn't reach it with the roof rake. I'm betting that wind took care of a lot of what still up there early yday as the downspouts were running good all day. I think we're headed to town today, instead of waiting 'til tomorrow. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Morning boys.  Man it is light out at 7 now. Kind of when I like to get out of bed is when I can see light out.  I was just talking to a guy the other day before the warm up and I said that we need to stop and appreciate what we have and how good life is.  Then the warm up came and life really felt good.  We have 23 and also should get to about 40.  I need to go sign my taxes this morning and return some books to a buddy so will give him some bacon too.  He gave me fish the other day.  Then I will vac pac the rest of the bacon.  May start a fire just to dry things out in the garage. Have a great day.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 30 for the overnite low, 31 at choretime, heading for a high around fitty. Some rainfall both at the ranch and in Bugtussle but it's in frozen form so still melting it out. Nothing too major on the docket other than finishing copy for a deadline, feeding bottle lambs & lunch of course. Prolly stay home after lunch & move another round bale into the main barn lot. Let the yearlings open it up then move them inside & turn the ewes with lambs outside. Long as the electric fence is working, see no reason not to. Burning through small square bales like a hot knife thru butter. Turning the ewes & lambs loose is usually good for a gawker slowdown on the road out front. Only one black lamb this year so it'll probably be worse than usual. Yup Scenic, I hear ya. Had another close call with a ram this a.m. Didn't hit me square but I gave him an attitude adjustment afterwards, the dumb SOB!

I gotta say, I haven't imbibed much for about 3 weeks. Needed all my mental faculties operating at peak levels as animal lives depended on it. Not fun performing OB/GYN duties if yer half in the bag. Luckily I have a strong stomach. The blood & the Lotzza Motzza's don't bother me. You can feed bottle lambs when yer pretty well lit however. They don't seem to care. :rotflmao: I should make a run to the grocery store tho and procure some limes. Mebbe thaw out some burger when I head home fer lunch. Should be a nice nite to grill & have a few libations. We're at least 75% done lambing. Something to celebrate.  :happy1:

Got the Bugtussle rainfall thawed out. Measured right at .1" from the overnite. Better than snow. Was foggy this a.m. A bright and sunny 39 out there now.

Morning boys. 34 here and supposed to make 35 it says. Loaded some wood in the wood shed last night. Shall be good now for another week. Then rinse and repeat. The snow on the lake is pretty much gone. Might go see what the breaker looks like after work today. Mark, the door safety switch on my ASV is a magnetic switch. All I need to do is put a piece of metal in it and good to go. About it here, just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Mornin guys, 32 here now & we should see 38. Pretty nice yday, even early, as we had very little to no wind. That is expected to swing WNW here early today & pick up to close to 10 today. I see we've got a touch of snow in the hourly for 8 or 9 tonight too. We didn't have a very long lists yday, so it was a quick trip, for us, as we were back out here by ~12:30. No big projects planned for today either. Got some stuff to go to the burn barrel though, so that'll get me outside & moving. Have a good day.

Morning boys.  It is hazy here this morning.  We have 33 and like JB should go up a few degrees.  Since my buddy gave me eggs the other day I gave him bacon yesterday.  He said his house has melted into the ice a few inches on the river.  Getting mushy.  I started the lawn mower yesterday just for grins.  Started right up.  Got the battery charged and back in the Grizzly so started that up too since I was on a roll.  Another buddy stopped by and he said the roads on the lake are a chore for the resorts.  Lots of breaks and cracks to deal with.  Mike you better get some carrots and spuds and onions so you can deal with that possum properly.  May want to try the crock pot.  Can't wait to hear how it turns out.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :happy1: :happy1:   You all enjoy the nice dayl.

Need a FF stop today to pick up some stuff. Also headed to Fergus Falls to the CAT dealer to get my manual. I'll ask if they have a jumper for the door switch, it's not magnetic like an ASV (JB). If there's enough time left I need some steel from Mark's Welding in Osakis to make a hitch for the forks to move trailers around. Busy day, later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 35 at choretime, heading for a high in the upper 40's. Kinda overcast but it's supposed to become partly sunny as the day wears on. Have a webinar on corn insects to watch in a little bit then I can catch up on the dead people in Albert's Leaf. Got the round bale in the lot yesterday afternoon. Left some ugly tracks in the mud here and there. Remaining ewes to lamb seem to be in a holding pattern lately. Figures. Weather has been way too nice. Looks like shearing the remaining 25 head on Saturday is a "go". It'll be a PITA but will be a good job to have done. Hopefully the crew we had last time all make it. The more hands the merrier.  :coffee:
