new smoker advise please

ive.been around with a ffew off yu on this one. but again please, my dad. just laid.down 5 bills ffor.a new smoker ffor.me.to buy, so i ccan smoke his vennison. what would u guys by with a 5-6 bill cceiling. no griĺls. smoker. i was looking at a bradley 6 racck programable.elecc.  again what would.u buy iff u had that ccash.

I dont get as crazy as some folks here but so far I havent had any issues with my masterbuilt.  Lower end of the budget but its still going strong.

I think the Bradley [great smoker] your thinking of is 33 inches high?  For under $500 you could get the Masterbuilt Bluetooth Smart DIgital that is 40 inches high and you don't have to deal with the pucks which cost some coin.  Check it out and see what you think.  I would go with the Bluetooth 40 inch.  Bradley is a great smoker also but I don't want to pay for the pucks when I can get chips or use the tube smoker.  good luck.

I'd buy two Masterbuilts and skip the puck deal for sure.  Digital temp control.  We have one at home and one at the cabin.  The one at home looks like someone smoked with it and never took care of it and it keeps working away.  The one at the cabin looks like a virgin and brand new and I'm embarrassed to use it the thing is so clean.  These smokers are turning into one of the best "outdoor" item values I've ever invested in.

I get a old 50's refrigerator weld up a small barrel to its bottom an smoke away!!The cash left over I'd invest in a beer purchase

With either one of those smokers you are going to be limited for hanging sausage.  You will see what you can hang in there or put on the racks in case you don't want to hang sausage in there.  Still those are the best for control of temps.  You can put wooden dowels in there where the racks sit on.  Go for it Boar.  You will have a nice unit.  good luck.

yup, I think I will, sams club has that 40" bluetooth for 329.00  that leaves about 150 for accesories. habey thay have hooks? do you think that a smoker that size can hang a 10 lb bbatch of ring? dew I  have that old freezer insulated idea it works awsome, but dad is footing the bill for this one. i want to be able to set it and forget it for a period of time and monitor it thru bluetooth capabilties is awsome. the way things go right now with my set up, whcich worksa awsome, is I cant reall turn my back. If I dont constantly monitor the heat, it will over heat, ive thought before that its hold constant then to turnaround and see my thermother has skyrocket to over 250 from 140. cant have that.  but thanks buddy!

It will do 10 pounds easy Boar.  You can get the rings on-line or probably at Sams, but Fleet Farm for sure.  I don't really do mass production but it seems that way at times.  Sometimes I do 10 pounds and sometimes around 25 pounds.  This is what I got so far.  I'm thinking of getting a Blue Tooth myself in addition.  good luck.

Dont know if they come with them now but my masterbuilt didnt come with wheels.  Project soon will be to wither weld up a little frame with casters or I was even thinking about modifying a dolly and welding brackets on that some how as I move mine accross the grass from time to time.
