Mille Lacs update 1-26-07

This week at the lake was good at best, I was fortunate to have caught 12 eye's out of my perm house. The bad news is 2 of them were in the slot, the rest were bigger. The weather was great and the ice conditions were 18" to 21" with a pressure ridge located 500 yards off shore. The resorts did a great job moving the bridge and marking the road with reflective markers for low light conditions. With the weather changing the fish slowed down considerably. Early in the week I fished out at 3 mile and was able to find the fish but only able to intice 2 to bite. I will be going back up to the lake on 1-28-07 for a couple of days, to see if this cold snap has had any effect on the fishing. Remember no ice is safe so check in with the resorts and stay on the  roads and watch your speed. For all new members to Mn Outdoorsman I was fishing out of Fishers on the northeast side of the lake, 1 mile south on 47 from malmo. I will talk to you all when I get back. Good Fishing Bergy

I am still hoping to get down there to join you for a little lip rippin and bs session. I just started back to work and though I make my own schedule, I will have to hit it pretty hard here for a week or so.
