I will try to download two pics here.  One is a big coon just to give you a size reference.  I am not sure what the second one is.  The tail sure looks round like a cougar.  What do you think.  This is at my mineral block in my spruce trees.  There are cougars around here at times.

I sse why u think courgar, but it looks so like a deer with out that tail looking thing, just dosent appear cat like or cat profile like, but then one looks at the tail thing. weired. Ive zoomed in and out and I would have to..... I don't know. Got to that exact spot and see if you hooved prints. the legs seem to really taper thin like a deer, specially the front right leg you see thre the hind end. weired..

Tail to short. Kind of looks like a dog. Wolf or stray?

I agree that it is not a cat.  My first thought was young coyote or wolf with a tail that has not fully bushed out yet.
The attached picture was in my home town paper (Lake Benton MN) in SW MN.  According to the story, it was captured on a trail camera in someone's back yard a half block from main street in town.  Hard to judge size by the picture, but color and fur certainly look like a cougar and cougars have been confirmed from time to time in the area.

I'm thinking deer.  Too tall for a cougar.
