Looks delish Reb. Smurfy will be happy to see the KATCHUP! He's probably getting mentally prepared and doing some breathing exercises for his surgery.  hubba_hubba-404.gif

Hey reb-it looks like the skin is still on those crappies. Is that the way you
cook all your panfish? I've never tried fried fish with the skin on. Looks real good.

Went Perchn yesterday..Perch chowder tonight!  Yum!

First 5 strips of bacon diced browned in bottom of pot then throw in a handful of chopped onions for a couple min.  Then throw in a handful of chopped potatoes, celery, mushrooms, carrots and 2 cups of seafood stock simmer for 20 min.  teaspoon of cavender's greek seasoning and one bay leaf.  Then throw in the cut up fillets, handful of canned sweet corn and 1 1/2 cups of 1/2 and 1/2 cream cook on low for 8-10 min.  Chowder is Best to let cool off and reheat on low again.

Yup! Always have! See no reason to pull the skin off small panfish, IMO. Will make them curl sometimes, so I then flip them halfway thru cooking. Or, you can slit the skins, and they won't curl.  But, that's the same way I eat my taters...skin on!!  More flavor!
