Baked Injun corn

??  how are you making that?

It's a secret.  :lipsrsealed:    :rotflmao:

Named it that 30 years ago, I bet. I don't like scalloped corn, so I came up with this a long time ago.

One can of good creamed corn (Festal used to be the  best, now I use Green Giant ( other brands just suck, watery....)
About 1/3 a tube of regular Ritz, crushed fine
1 Tbsp brown sugar
lotsa coarse cracked black pepper
1/4 tsp salt

Mix all together well in a glass casserole dish. Let sit about 1/2 hr until Ritz are all "absorbed".
Put uncovered in oven, I do about an hour at 350*, can be hotter with a shorter period.
Bake uncovered until bubbling and top is getting lightly brown.
Pull out and let sit about 5 mns; then "stir in" crusty brown top. Corn will be real thick.
Sweet and peppery. Don't knock it until ya try it!!

that sounds interesting Reb,  if you like cream style corn here's one we like;

take a can of sweet corn, cook it in the juices it's canned in
drain it, add a hunk of butter and 1/4 to 1/3 brick of phil. cream cheese
heat it up
serve; very simple and very good.

of course when more corn is used, more of the rest too.  enjoy!!!

I love meatloaf and my ribs are going to be good but I have to give Glenn the drool award.  I have been craving a big thick rib eye lately.  That corn with butter and cream cheese sounds great too Mike.  I will try that.

Rebs that corn does look awesome.  I bet the Ritz adds some flavor too.  Prime rib is my fave too.  Woman parts do not need to be used when we are talking about our supper Rebs.  Although that may be normal for your program.....   tut_tut-3315.gif sleazy-422.gif sleazy-422.gif :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

hey Bobber, when I do roasts in the "crotch" they are more stringing vs slicing.  how do yours turn out?

Mike as for me, there are only a few roasts that I do in the crock pot.  Beef chuck roast, arm, and bottom round.  others like eye of round, sirloin tip, or top round I do in the smoker or oven medium rare.  good luck.
