Ok I know this is kind of sacrilegious but I followed Del's sous vide a ribeye program.  I put it in my sous vide thing I got for Christmas and set it at 132.  Took minutes to get the cold water up to temp.  Just left it there for a couple of hours.  Got a cast iron pan hot and put the steak in. Should have had the pan hotter to get a better sear.  BUT it was a very tender and tasty steak.  VERY tender.  I will do it again but with a hotter pan.  Easy as heck.

I found a corned beef in the freezer.  That is the last one.  I had bought 4 of them when they were on sale.  Maybe I will cook it tomorrow for Veterans Day.

Dang Mike that sounds awesome,  Ruebens are a must this away!! Momma mixed up a 3 lb meatloaf while she walked away i buried mozzarella cheese stick in the middle ( the pooches almost blew my cover) then she topped it off with a spicy orange chili sauce. Paired with red lobster biscuits and squished taters.

Supper tonight.  Did the corned beef yesterday.  2 cans of low sodium beef broth since there is enough in the beef, 1 4 lb corned beef flat, put the season packet on top of the beef.  Cook at 350 for 2 hours covered.  Then add 1 cabbage quartered, 1 lb of carrots, peeled and cut in chunks, 1 big onion in chunks along the edges of the beef.  Push down into the broth.  Cook for another 1.5 hours uncovered so the beef and veggies bet some brown on them.  We have enough meat left to have ruebens tomorrow.

That sounds pretty darn good Mike.  I need to cook something.  Got eggs boiling for egg, tuna, onion, mayo sandwiches for lunch.  On fresh Canadian Rye bread.
