Same here.  I have the usual 6 qt kettles.  I would like to get one of those real nice porcelain or whatever it is covered 8 qt kettle/dutch oven.  Yup we love left overs too and have been freezing more of them.

Oh yea, it's been 8 years since any kids at home. Used to cook for 7, can't get it down for just 2.  I also love leftovers. I get especially overboard making soup.

Since I retired I don't make lunch pail containers... So

I'm guessing one of them pails are coming this way  . Momma picked up some Italian sausage a while back from target,  I thawed it out and started frying it for spaghetti,  man did it smell funny, tried a pc and chucked it. So meatballs it is.

:happy1: stop on by!! :happy1: Yea not sure how much meat I'd buy at a target. the Italian sausage I buy at the local grocery store is usually froze or half froze.

Good thing you had backup. :happy1:

  • AKA "Outdoors Junkie"
I made a big batch of venison chili for supper last night. It fed eight people and we have a couple ice cream pails full of leftover for freezer. Everyone enjoyed it...even my younger sons new girlfriend that hasn’t had much wild game before.

...But I guess I forgot to tell her it was venison.

Nothing fancy but pretty darn good.  Walleye dusted with garlic powder and Lawry's.  Then covered with shredded cheddar and then topped with crushed potato chips.  Brocolli with butter and fresh ground pepper.   Baked the fish at 350 for 25 minutes.  Steamed the brocolli.

I know Del has talked about it but it was nice to see a cooking show today where he spiced up a nice prime rib and put it in a bag and into his sous vide.  135 for 12 hours.  Then 15 minutes in an oven at 500.  OR in a smoker or grill to darken it.  Then let sit for 30-40 minutes before slicing.  It looked perfect!  I am drooling just thinking about it.
