Thanks, already laid in a supply of 3 bags square chopped. With my luck, this store down here wouldn't have 'em.

Rubber bushings?   :rotflmao:  Glenn said to say that. I was gonna have a BLT today, but was busy running around, and had to eat quick, was having a low blood sugar. No time to run home. Grabbed a Kwik-Trip riblet sandwich for .99. Wonder what those really are? Wasn't too bad...

making stuffed peppers today, decided to use cabbage instead of rice for the filler..  mold in the cabbage..  back to rice...  got maters simmering down to make the sauce..  just waiting on the rice to cook now..  small set back..  dang it!!

Stumbled across the homemade smoked ring baloney that LPS gave glenn & I when we visited him when he was camping on the 4th at Noma so we had that yday. Very tasty, thanks LPS!! We were wonderin , pretty sure you told us when you made it, what your ratio of beef to pork was? The casing was nice & crunchy too!! :happy1:

Made them this spring Gunner.  It is 2/3 beef and 1/3 pork.  I think I will up the amount of pork the next time.  I used a Curleys ring bologna spice mix.

 Far from an expert in this field but I don't think a little more pork/fat would hurt it either. :happy1:

I agree Gunner.  They are good but with all of that beef they are pretty hard and not as juicy as I'd like.  Most sausage you buy is all pork.  Fun experimenting.

Does sound darned good! Don't tell anyone,  :lipsrsealed:  but there IS one Hamburger Whelper I DO buy....and it's pretty good! Has rice, Old El Paso taco mix and corn chips for top garnish in it. I just melt some shredded cheese on top when done. Also grab a big scoop, and roll it up in a flour tortilla. Try it! For a $1 a box, (When they're on sale, ya can't go wrong!)
