Mom always put brown sugar in her chili too, she didn't like any spicy food. We're not a big fan of it that way either.

we kind of combined chili reciepes after a while. my wife added tomato soup to it.......it to me dulled the flavor. i used to add a pint of tomato juice. we quit doing both. we do put a qt of stewed tomatoes in. we put in a package of chili seasoning and a tsp on chili powder, when she's not looking i add more!! :sleazy: :rotflmao: her brown sugar kills it anyway. we also add homegrown celery and green peppers....of course the kidney and chili beans!!!!!!!! :happy1:

Chili sounds good.  I am planning on doing a rack of baby backs in the oven today.  They do turn out pretty darn good too.  I slather them with liquid smoke when I do them.  The plan could change as the day goes on depending on what the wife says.  lol

I carefully drip it on in several spots and spread it around with a spoon or brush.  It blends in good.  It has never been too much even when it pours instead of drips.  lol  Smells great when cooking too.

I use it in most soups I make too.  Smells strong at first but it blends right in.  Real good in chili or ham and bean soup.

That sounds great Mike!  We love cooked cabbage.  I am going to brown some pork steaks and bake them with cream of mushroom gravy and onions and spuds.
