Here is the chicken wings that we baked on Sat.  Turned out great!  Soy sauce, olive oil, spices and soaked in a gallon bag.  Baked in the oven.  The wife bought fresh ones instead of frozen ones.

I have a pound of peppered bacon that I will bake in the oven and we will be having some nice BLT's tonight on rye bread.  Can't wait.  Like my big buddy said.  You put all of the Miracle Whip on that you think you need and then do another blob of it to get to perfect.  :happy1: :happy1:

Just made my first jerky batch in many years.  Since we got the new slicer I got a top round roast and turned it into jerky.  Pretty darn good.  Will try another recipe next time.  I have another roast in the freezer.
LPS, since that blade does not come off for cleaning, I would recommend you buy a pair of cut resistant gloves, and some sanitizer, if you haven’t already.

I did buy the gloves and the blade does come off.  Just take the three screws off and the blade comes right off.  I lay it on a towel in the sink so it doesn't get dinged when I wash it. What a great machine it is!

I agree that home raised tomatoes are the best.  I got 6 "on the vine" ones.  They look really nice but other than the coolness and texture there isn't much taste to them.  Better than nothing though.  It was Del that was the real proponent of the sous vide.  The wife got me one for Christmas back then due to hearing me talk about it.  We did use it a few times and worked great.  Has sat for a couple of years now.  Need to get that back out too.

Those are another handy tool.  I use them for sausage making more than anything.  The kid uses his for reverse searing steaks.  Gets them to a certain temp and then sears them.  He cooks them in a marinade.   They turn out great.

Not for me, too many steps on cooking a steak.

That is my prefered method as well but this is just something different.  Or if you have a lessor quality chunk of meat to cook.  It tenderizes it some.

First time making homemade alfredo sauce and it turned out amazing!! It was a little thin at first so I added some corn starch, but I added too much so now it’s a little too thick… but it’s still very tasty. Definitely making this again rather than buying the jars of alfredo. 😋😋

Next time maybe try saving/using the water that the pasta was cooked in - you get some starch from the pasta, but not too much.  My daughter taught me that trick.

Sounds like one of those Youtube videos.  A plumber learned me this!   :rotflmao:
