Got back out

After a brief absence from fishing due to my dog having to be put down (july 29th, yes it's been a while) I finally got back out on the boat.  we didn't bring anything home and my mood wasn't into fishing, I just wanted to be out on the lake. I got to see the loons and I had my camera ready this time. Of course they weren't so cooperative or showy. the Little loon saw me snapping a photo of it and rushed over to mama and basically hid after that, camera shy.

Very sorry to hear about your dog. Been ten years since I lost my buddy, and I still miss him terribly.

Yup what a bummer.  They are such great friends and it is hard to see them get old.

She was only 6, a lab mix, very friendly. Cancer is what got her. she won one fight with cancer then about a year later a cancerous tumor was found on a completely different part of her body. The docs tried to remove it but couldn't get it all. what was left of it basically grew so quick, she started to lose the use of her back legs then she was completely paralyzed and that was the end. The vet came to our house on a saturday morning while i was at work and she went to sleep.

So sad.  People without the love for animals have no clue how hard that is.
