Please don't do that!!!! My buddy Erv, who was an expert (his words) doing that, had $90,000 damage to his house because of a leaking refilled cylinder.  Almost lost everything. The O-rings in the inside valve may NOT reseat properly, as they are not designed to be refilled. I have to warn folks about this. Seen too many leaks AFTER they are filled. They're  cheap at Walmart!! There; I've had my say.

I do that now and then but only if I am going to use the 1 lber right away.  Then it is hooked up to something that prevents it from leaking.  I have had some leak out completely overnight if not hooked up to something.  I never bring them in the garage...

I use to do that but not anymore. For the amount of them I use, them most leaked and the danger not worth it!

Gotta agree Reb, glenn, for the $10-$20 maybe $30 worth of them I might use in a season, it's not worth it. Seen that on the news & over on FM last year too Reb. He's lucky he didn't get hurt worse.

Speaking of, they sure have gone up in price!!! Just called Northern; $4.49 EACH. A two pack at Wallymart and Home Despot is $6.99.
I like to keep at least 4 on hand for the buddy heaters.

$12.99 for a 4 pack of Coleman 1 lb. cylinders at FF this week. Use them on the Performer too so it's an opportunity to lay in a supply.  :happy1:

Probably no help to you, Reb, but might be to someone else. We were in L & M in Grand Rapids today & they had them 4/$10 until Friday. Their regular price is $2.99
