How do you change a picture from jpeg to jpg? Some of my pics are jpeg and don't want to post.

All you need to do is change the extension of your file:

picture.jpeg
to
picture.jpg

Just rename the extension of the file

Thanks kevin

I've tried doing that and sometime it does it and sometimes it don't. I don't know how I did it the times that it works. If you or some one else could explain it a little more detailed on how to do it I'm sure I could get the hang of it.

When you are in a explore window and you see the details of your picture name:

picture.jpeg as an example

Right click on the file with the .jpeg extension and click the rename button

The name will be highlighted and move the cursor to the end of the name and back space the jpeg from the name and then type jpg in its place.

Then you should be able to post that picture where you want

kevin is right, you  right click on the file and rename the extension...
but why?  there is no difference between .jpg and .jpeg.  .jpg is just an older term left over from the DOS limited file extension character limit days.
you can use both as the same.

I still come across the jpeg problem posting photo's at numerous places. Codes were probably written with jpg in them and doesn't know what to do with jpeg. Glad it is working out for you Griz.
