We just signed up for a deal to go to Laughlin Nevada.  Roundtrip from Bemidji airfare, 3 nights in Don Laughlins Riverside for $299 ea for the wife and I.  I have had lots of people I know that have been there but we never have...  Don Laughlin is from Owatonna and started the whole deal.  My ex inlaws used to go there when they were still with us.  They knew Don.  I guess he is in his 90's and is still walking around the place.  We aren't big gamblers but just want to go to eat and see the Colorado River that is right outside the front door and to be warm..   We may each do a $50 a day slot budget or something like that.  Just wondered if any of you have been there and have any places we should eat at....

Yup for occupancy of two.  $299 ea.   They fly out of Bemidji, Brainerd, Int Falls, lots of MN airports.  Direct flights..   Cheap way to head south for a few days.  3 nights is all I want to be gone anyway.   See Don Laughlins Riverside Resort...    We are going in Feb.  This may be an annual deal for us at that price.  I see there is a river cruise boat with cocktails too.  We will be hitting that....   lol

90 miles south of Vegas.   I'm sure it is not even close to what Vegas has to offer but that sounds great to us.  The average temp in July is over 100

my folks and some of their friends used to go there.  we were at the time, from the Mankato area. so they too meant the fellow too.  and they to liked it.  I just might look in to it.  I have both St. Cloud, Brainerd and of course Fargo.  have a great time!!!

I could be in Vegas in July thru work. There isn't nuttin cheap in Vegas but I'd look at places on freemont steer. Places like the Golden Nugget or the plaza!

google: " lake havasu bluegills"   and check out some of the images.   A trip there would be very tempting.

We upgraded to riverview rooms for $10 more.  I am hoping they are the newly remodeled rooms.  Temps look to be in the 70's while we are there.  We will probably play some slots but are really there just to enjoy the weather and take a break from winter.   Not sure if there are any smurffs in Laughlin or not but I will keep my eyes peeled and let you all know...
