The day started super early.  The plan was to try for crappies on bowstring on our way to fish red with cookie.  We hit bowstring at 6 am and landed on a great spot.  A larger flat spot of 22 FOW. The 1st 12 inch crappie was spitting up red worms so we switched to a red plastic on tongston jigs and started to pound the fish.  We got our limit fast and threw in 15 jumbo perch and 4 hammer handles.

Packed up and headed to red. Arrived a little after 1 and called cookie.  He gave me instructions to take the 1st right after getting on the lake (1/4mile) and our house would be the 2nd 1.   I thought to myself. Really, I don't need to drive out 7 miles?   Easily found d the house.  Nice looking house from north Carolina.  And when we opened the door I knew we were ready to catch fish as I had spotted a fawkinee ae bumper sticker.  Took a quick stroll over to the nearest house and got the scoop on baits and if they were having any luck.  They were cookies friends and gave us the dish.  They only needed 2 small fish to fill their 5 person limit and we're having trouble catching small enough fish.  Didn't get our 1st fish until 430 and then we caught 3 more.  Only kept 2 of them.  The fish stopped biting at 6 so we hit the hay at 8.  Only to be woken up 30 min. Later by a rattle reel.  We ended up catching 4 fish during the night, keeping 2.  We caught our last 2 fish between 7 and 8.  Cleaned up and packed the truck and headed home at 9.  Great house and thanks for putting us on the fish Cookie.  We will be back next winter for sure.  Here are a few pictures.

I almost forgot.  When the first rattle reel goes off i sit up and get clocked 3 times by the fan.  My buddy had put it on high and laughed his a$$ off at my expense.   It made for fun though, for him.  All I could say was fawkinee.  I wish I had a video.

I was wondering if anybody would notice.  Just a crazy hair up my butt.  Fireball? Nope, shots just shots of wiskey.

Fireball was probably in short supply around the area  since Boar spent the weekend out on the ice. ;) Yeah glenn, that PA can't be much more than 2 miles or so from our driveway
