Well that explains it reb,star gazer here as well,I always wanted to know what the mysterious slow moving object was crossing the sky,then we see smaller faster moving objects with a what appears to be a blinking light,no sound and way up but not as high as a satilite.

Jet Airliner.    They blink, and when at cruising altitude you don't hear them.
