family spearing aerloom...what ever

my brother gifted me this today. not sure why.. but it floored me. my Grandfather carved this decoy, he was the the first person i can remeber ice fishing with, i was maybe 6 maybe, or 5. IDK. were wer spearing on pine lake near lengby mn. i remember him tying this on first fish in was 6 lb northern and absolutley huge to me in the window to the aquatic worrld. i sat dumb founded almost scared. he said THROW. i sat ther not hearing him and fixated on the monster below me. He vrabed the spear and threw an sent home. the only time i remeber fishing with my grandfather. he was a farmer, fished for food. had 11 kids for work not family. good man but a hard man.

yep there is one in grand rapids also. pretty sure there is one in little falls too!!!!!!

told the wifey about it. I have carved decoys that wont ever see water because of the artistic work. I need a perch to fill out my collection I have on display in my man cave...... now I gotta suck up to the wife all week!!!!!!

I have an emerald shiner, crappie, sunfish, walleye, and pike decoys!!!!!!!!! they were all hand carved by Troy Fieteck from little falls!!!!!

I know, but seriously she's a pretty good sport about it. she keeps saying NO  to more critter mounts but I still get them!!!!!!!!

I need 3 more mounts yet, a big bass and walleye and a full mount wild turkey. maybe a drake wood duck!!!! got pretty much everything else!!! 2 deer shoulder mounts, bear rug and shoulder mount, pheasant ,chucker, 5 lb whitefish, woodcock, 3 bear hide pillows made from 2 different bear, sunfish, crappies, 6 perch on a mount, grouse, smallmouth bass, and a turkey tail fan.
