Speaking of batteries.  I read somewhere and it may have been here about Duracell batteries corroding in devices and that many were cheap Chinese knockoffs.  Well we have a 20 pack of Duracell AA batteries that we have had for a few months.  We have opened the package and have used about 6 of them.  The other day the wife says "hey our batteries are all corroded"......   I looked and they are.  All of them have corrosion on them and a couple of them are even turning the casing that is supposed to look stainless steel into a blackish color.  Well when we went to Menards to get some Pitt Boys pellets we bought new Energiser Batteries.  Now I have to look at what all I have put those Duracell batteries into.

I have been using the Rayovacs for the last couple of years with better success then the 2 big name brands. Last summer I also tried a 100 pack of ac delcos off of amazon for $20. don't seem to last as long, but for the price they are hard to beat.
Hey look your bobber is up!

for a long time now i've went the rechargeable battery route. went to batteries plus bought the batteries and charger. they may not hold the charge aslong as those other batteries............but in my opinion cheaper in the long run!!!!

:happy1: Same here, rechargables online from allbatteries. Especially the AA & AAA, with the number of times they can be recharged they seem to be a better bargain. We buy the better rated ones.

I've had Duracells in everything for many years. Over the last few years, they've corroded in two clocks, a weather station, and a maglight. I just got done cleaning that corrosion out of a clock from the rec room the other day. I bought all energizers the other day. Duracells have turned to junk, IMO. No more for me.
