Just heard he was charged with misdemeanor assault out in Nevada & the league has yet to decide what his penalty will be. It could be just a fine or they add a suspension too. The Raiders have a bye this week, so the NFL can take it's time deciding what it wants to do.
I thought he was charged in Kansas City???

:oops1: You're right, it was KC :doah: & according to this https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/davante-adams-technically-was-charged-with-violation-of-city-ordinance-which-carries-a-lower-penalty/ar-A that won't be much of an issue. It's what the league decides to do that could cost him a game check or 2, @ ~ $200K-$335K/game.

Cardinals' vet takes aim at Kyler Murray work ethic following massive contract extension

...one teammate slammed Kyler Murray’s work ethic, claiming the quarterback did not feel inclined to meet expectations after signing a massive $230.5 million contract extension in July.

"Once paid, the veteran said, Murray felt less compulsion to study his game plan or to fulfill the expectations of the franchise QB position than he had in the past, and the Cardinals’ collapse felt predictable."

The Cardinals had previously included an "independent study" clause in Murray’s original contract, which reportedly required him to study game film at least four hours per game week, but that stipulation was later removed after fierce backlash.

"After seeing the distraction it created, we removed the addendum from the contract," the organization said in a statement at the time. "It was clearly perceived in ways that were never intended."

"Our confidence in Kyler Murray is as high as it’s ever been and nothing demonstrates our belief in his ability to lead his team more than the commitment reflected in this contract."

What?!?  I thought National Football League players were supposed to be "professionals."  Murray was "distracted" because they team wanted him to spend at least 4 hours per week studying film.   :doah:

No wonder - according to the un-named veteran player the Cardinals went in the tank this year.  G'luck Cardinals.

If you are going to trash a mans reputation (whether deserved or not) at least be man enough to put your name on it.

These "unnamed sources" suck.

Generally, yeah.  But those un-named sources don't want to lose their jobs.

Whether or not Murray works hard enough is subjective.  But if you are a grunt (player or front office guy) and don't see Murray putting the effort in - maybe you should just keep your mouth shut.

Because if they did put their name to it - who they goona get rid of?   Murray or the grunt?

So why did management see fit to put that clause in the contract in the first place?  For all I know, Kapt. Kirk has one of those too.   :bonk:

Thats kinda my point, if you aren't willing to lose your job then keep your mouth shut altogether. Arizona is kind of a dysfunctional outfit anyway. Now they are looking for a new coach to babysit Murray and try and get their moneys worth.

Colin Kaepernick accuses his White adoptive parents of 'problematic' upbringing, perpetuating racism link

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kapernick accused his adoptive parents of "perpetuating racism" in an interview that aired Thursday.

"I know my parents loved me. But there were still very problematic things that I went through," the biracial quarterback said to CBS News.

Kaepernick illustrated one specific example of this in the novel, depicting a fight he had with his parents during high school over his hairstyle.  Inspired to braid his hair in cornrows like his hero, NBA star Allen Iverson, Kaepernick recalled received pushback from is parents.  Kaepernick said that after styling his hair this way, his mom warned his hair was "not professional" and he "looked like a little thug."

So Kaepernick' parents are racist because they told him they didn't like his haircut?

Much like the Kardashians some people always have to be in the news. It's a genetic disorder I think. Best way we can help him and the other dopes like him is to ignore them.

Colin Kaepernick Sues Adoptive Parents For $21 Million In Reparations BabylonBee

NEW YORK, NY — Beloved Football superstar Colin Kaepernick has announced he will be suing his white parents for the cruel act of adopting him into a white family without his consent. Kaepernick's legal team announced he is seeking $21 million in reparations from the couple.

"The damage done to our client by growing up in a loving household under two white parents is incalculable," said Attorney Jim Grifton outside the law offices of Grifton & Grift, LLC to members of the press. "Having a present father, living in the suburbs, and being kept safe from gang violence deprived him of the black American experience to which his skin color entitles him. We demand his parents pay the reparations they owe him as white oppressors.

Kaepernick's parents have yet to comment, having supported his stands for racial justice as well as the first 18 years of his life, but insiders say they are struggling with his public denouncement of their parenting. "Rick and Teresa will continue to be supportive of their son but are surprised he would sue them for their mistakes, or seek more reparations when they gave him a weekly reparation of $20 his entire young life," said friends of the family.

At publishing time, Colin Kaepernick had announced a new book addressing the racist and insensitive foods his mother cooked for him. A slot has already been reserved on the New York Times bestseller list during the release week.

I'd be willing to bet he's been a thug his whole life. Passed through our education and court systems just because he was a talented football player. Now he reaches the level of ball where he isn't elite anymore and he reverts back to what he knows.

His life, his choices but he had help along the way.

Browns' Deshaun Watson avoids ejection after pushing official, commits 2 personal fouls in loss

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson had an aggressive night against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday and appeared to get a little chippy with some of the opposing players.

In the third quarter, Watson ran to his left and tried to escape Steelers linebacker Kwon Alexander as he went out of bounds. However, Watson grabbed Alexander’s facemask, and their momentum together pushed the defender toward the Steelers bench.

Alexander and the Steelers coaches and players on the sidelines were not happy. Alexander had to be held back, and as Watson started to chip, he appeared to push an official out of the way. Contact with an official is supposed to warrant an ejection, but Watson stayed in the game.

Instead, Watson was flagged for unnecessary roughness – a personal foul, and it would not be the only one of the night.

Watson was again flagged for a personal foul in the fourth quarter on a scramble. He grabbed linebacker Nick Herbig by the facemask and pushed him down to the ground.

I don't think this jerk is going to make it through the whole season.  Too bad Stephanski has to babysit a dirt ball like him.

The good new is...

Watson's costly fumbled [later] resulted in the Steelers' go-ahead touchdown!  :rotflmao: :bonk: :happy1: :cheerleader:
