Just wondering if any one knows if you can? like the moultrie game watcher 35mm infrared photo surveillance system with a detachable camera. could you replace old camera with a digital? ???

im pretty sure that you cant do it.it takes a different control board for the digitals i do believe. i build my own trail cameras, with a sony p-41 digital camera. i can post a homebrewing link ( thats what homemade trail cameras are called) but i dont know if its allowed or not to post other links here if so i will.the homebrew cameras are a have a faster trigger time. and cost alot less to build a good camera than to buy a good factory one.

the hardeat part is to modify the camera its self. but there are some cameras that are called plug and play.or you can send the camera to someone else to modify it and then you just have to hook it up to the control board and mount it in a water proof case and drill the hole for it. the web site a sent you can answer your question better than i can there really helpful people over there. the p-41 cameras are getting harder to find Sony discontinued them so you need to buy them off e-bay or Craig list
