Finally someone put this in print, should be posted at all public accesses and also put in our yearly game law books, the average weekend warrior hasn't a clue, infact alot of season folks don't either they never thought about what to do when they come to a lake, they just jump inline and wait until its their turn to launch, thats when the circus begins, boat cover comes off, coolers transferred, straps come off,a real crap show.

Entertaing as hell unless your behind these dorks.

Oh,one thing not mentioned, once loaded, pull ahead into the parking lot or side street, don't baton down the hatches when folks are inline waiting....common sense.

Saturday waiting to get off the lake for lunch an a guy pulls up backs halfway down the landing an gets out to unstrap an all the things that should be done before hand. I was sitting there "are you serious right now" until the CO that was at the launch told him to pull into the parking lot to do that because he was holding everyone up.

Amen cody, sad when folks lack common sense or are so selfish about their little world, pet peeve for me,almost as bad as the slow drivers in the left lane or folks that park at the gas pump and run into the store for smokes and f everyone else, they can wait to fuel up.  sleazy-422.gif

I've seen it all. The worst one was lake waconia. Waiting in line to put in for half hour an I'm finally 3 trucks away an there's a big line behind us. Guy pulls up drives past everyone. Stops as a guy pulls his boat out a jumps in front of everyone. Horns went off an the guy that was next got out of his truck to confront him, thought they were gonna throw down right there.

Couldn't believe how many went up or down the ramp without the safety chain hooked up :bonk: a couple seasons ago on opener when I volunteered to help the lake assoc. with AIS monitoring for 1/2 a day.

A few years ago one of the local "guides" by me came into the access after me. When it came time to load our boat I had some jockeying around to do to get the truck out from where he pinched me into the parking spot. Once free from my parking spot I repositioned his trailer so it was nice and squared back up with the rest of the trucks and trailers. I know he had to see the marks in the gravel where I pushed his trailer over about 3 1/2' with the pick-up. Felt good too.

Nothing happened. No punches thrown. The guy unloaded his boat an was off. Wouldn't look at anyone an looked at ground on his way to his boat

15-20 years ago we were on a Canada trip. Grassy Narrows on the English River. I think there were 7 kids with us between probably 5 and 11. The launch there is just a sheet of granite and pretty tricky. After I launched I went to park - little bit of a hike. The guy behind me got his boat into position (driving a truck with a camper on top) and had his wife back him in - driving a 5 speed with a clutch. By the time I got back she had the back of the camper in the lake and water was coming in the cab. I didn't hear all the screaming but the kids all looked shell shocked when I arrived. Lot of "C" and "F" words thrown at the poor wife. Of course she never should have been put in that position. The kids still talk about it.
