I was greeted by this group of wackos when I ran downtown yday.....WTH next??!!! This is news?! Mr. Sparkles wanted to do a burn out on them. This town pushes diversity that includes EVERYTHING down yer throat continually, with weirdos like this having rallies, etc. I'm all for diversity, but just let it happen with a little help... you don't need to forcefully  ram it down a person's throat on a daily basis like they do here. In the paper. On TV. On the radio. Blah blah blah.  Imagine if the NRA wanted a street parade in this town, I can tell ya the poo would hit the fan then. The anti-gun nuts would be coming outta the woodwork. I'd love to move outta this twisted wacked-out town.  :mad1:

What pizzes me off, is I'm supposed to be ACCEPTING of all this garbage! What bugs me is people taking little kids to these wacko rallies. Just had a huge 3 day LGBQT or whatever it is festival at a park here, Soldiers Field. Shut down the streets around it. It's a park dedicated to all our service people with memorials, personal veteran's pavers, artifacts, etc. I resent the hell outta that....pick somewhere else to parade yer weirdness, not in that park! So what about MY viewpoint? Do they accept that? Hell no!  :angry2:

I'm gonna walk around with my own poster at the next rally....see MY viewpoint!!!!!!!

ESPN broadcaster Robert Lee taken off UVA game due to name

Posted: Aug 23, 2017 8:02 AM CDT

ESPN broadcaster Robert Lee
(AP) -

ESPN broadcaster Robert Lee will not work Virginia's season opener because of recent violence in Charlottesville sparked by the decision to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

A spokeswoman for ESPN says Lee has been moved to Youngstown State's game at Pittsburgh on the ACC Network on Sept. 2. The network says the decision was made "as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name."

Plans to remove a statue of Lee led to a protest in Charlottesville earlier this month that attracted what is believed to be the largest group of white nationalists to come together in a decade. Violent clashes erupted between a large gathering of white nationalists and hundreds of counter protesters.

ESPN says the decision to put Lee on another game was made "collectively." It also says it's "a shame that this is even a topic of conversation."

Boy people are really getting wacko now.  Ever watch the movies Purge?  There are 4 of them.  We watched the first two of them.  WOW!!  I am not condoning the concept in any way but there is one night a year when it is legal to kill anyone on the street.  SO lock up the house and don't go anywhere OR go clean up the streets.  Supposed to get rid of the undesirables.

ESPN generates its own fake news.  They wouldn't be able to fill the airtime without it.

Commentators complain that they have to cover all of the off-the-field stories and then gladly re-raise them every hour, on the hour.

The nutcakes are coming outta the woodwork lately...better start sprayin'. They think it's OK to raise hell and change everything for them because they're different and "mama said it's OK for me to be different."  It's all about me..me me......no wonder we can't get things done right anymore; everyone wants it done their way.

Police: Suspect's overwhelming gas shuts down interrogation

Posted: Nov 10, 2017 10:08 AM CST

(AP) -
A police interrogation of a Kansas City man charged with drug and gun offenses ended prematurely when an investigator was driven from the room by the suspect's excessive flatulence.

A detective reported that when asked for his address, 24-year-old Sean Sykes Jr. "leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart before answering."

The Kansas City Star reports that Sykes "continued to be flatulent" and the detective was forced to quickly end the interview.

Sykes appeared in court Monday, charged with being a felon in possession of three firearms and possession with intent to sell cocaine. The charges stem from police traffic stops this month and in September in Kansas City, Missouri.

The federal public defender's office hasn't responded to an Associated Press email seeking comment Friday.

I wonder if the email inquiry was about their client's felony charges or his odoriferous stench.

Thank you, Mr. Glenn.  Things have gone too far with this correctness.  It's a good thing I'm not a celebrity; I might have sexual harassment charges thrown at me like all the guys are getting whacked with. I'm sure they would use the bulges in my extremely tight pants as the charges.....

Garrison Keillor fired over alleged improper behavior

By JEFF BAENEN Associated Press Nov 29, 2017 Updated 2 min ago   (0)
Garrison Keillor fired over alleged improper behavior

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Garrison Keillor, the former host of "A Prairie Home Companion," said Wednesday he has been fired by Minnesota Public Radio over allegations of improper behavior.

Keillor told The Associated Press of his firing in an email. In a follow-up statement, he said he was fired over "a story that I think is more interesting and more complicated than the version MPR heard." He didn't give details of the allegation.

"It's some sort of poetic irony to be knocked off the air by a story, having told so many of them myself, but I'm 75 and don't have any interest in arguing about this. And I cannot in conscience bring danger to a great organization I've worked hard for since 1969," Keillor said.

"A person could not hope for more than what I was given," he said.

Minnesota Public Radio confirmed Keillor had been fired, saying it received a single allegation of "inappropriate behavior" and doesn't know of any other similar allegations. MPR said it was notified of the allegation last month and that it stemmed from Keillor's conduct when he was responsible for producing "A Prairie Home Companion."

Keillor retired as host of his long-running public radio variety show in 2016. His hand-picked successor, mandolinist Chris Thile, is in his second season as "Prairie Home" host. After Keillor retired from the show, he continued to work with MPR on other projects.

The firing Wednesday came shortly after Keillor, an avowed Democrat, wrote a syndicated column that ridiculed the idea that Sen. Al Franken should resign over allegations of sexual harassment.

MPR also said the name of the show, produced and distributed nationwide by American Public Media The show has been named "A Prairie Home Companion" for more than 40 years.

In addition, MPR said it will end distribution of "The Writer's Almanac," Keillor's daily reading of a poem and telling of literary events." It also will end rebroadcasts of "The Best of A Prairie Home Companion" hosted by Keillor.

Keillor started "A Prairie Home Companion" as a Saturday evening show in 1974, featuring tales of his fictional Minnesota hometown of Lake Wobegon "where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average."

The show featured musical acts, folksy humor, parody ads for fake products such as Powdermilk Biscuits and the centerpiece, Keillor delivering a seemingly off-the-cuff monologue, "The News From Lake Wobegon," in his rich baritone voice.

Keillor bowed out with a final show at the Hollywood Bowl in July 2016, and turned the show over to Thile, a mandolinist and frequent "Prairie Home" guest musician. Keillor went on a 28-city bus tour this summer, vowing it would be his last tour, but he continues on the road with solo shows.

Keillor still produces the radio show, "The Writer's Almanac," for syndication, and is finishing a Lake Wobegon screenplay and a memoir about growing up in Minnesota.
