Well, what started out as a slow bite and us getting out late this afternoon. turned into a great afternoon on the ice

Today, the Crappies were suspended just above the Gills.

we caught fish from 34ft to 25-26ft

 Nice sized fish

I had a lot of trouble with the Berkley fireline Crystal Ice.

The stuff is terrable if you get a tangle, nots up and you are screwed bad. Had to spool off about 30ft of it, that is after only one day of fishing with it. Another NOTE! DO NOT USE A STRING KNOT BOBBER STOP!!!! as you slide it up and down changing depth. It frayes the line and if it cuts one strand of the FireLine. It bunches up at the bobber stop and your done!

 Stuff is comming off tomarrow!!

Here's a couple of pics of todays catch that we gave to a couple of less fortunate folks after we cleaned them

Nice mess of fish....look out, Im heading your way tonight. They are in trouble this weekend!

As for fireline, I will say I have not tried the crystal ice line stuff, but I have had good luck with the regular stuff in pink jig fishing from a boat. I love the 6 lb test pink because it is VERY small diameter, but again, this is not for ice fishing.
