A dear friend of mine passed away Saturday morning.  I've know him for 50 years.  Although he and I attended high school many miles apart, somehow we met (I met my wife because of him) and we somehow got together enough to keep the friendship going.  Actually he ended up marring a classmate of mine. I remember riding in his new 67 Oldsmobile (he was two years older and in the workforce so he had $$), camping after HS graduation, attending his wedding, kids graduations and weddings. We often vacationed together over the years. Last spring we spent a week in northern California and later this summer a week at a Brainerd area resort.  I spent some of my early deer hunting exploits with him and we fished together many times. We and others from a rare group of 8 couples often played poker and always, (starting in the early 70's) had a Christmas party together.  I will really miss him.
