Is there anything other than a properly cooked med-rare juicy beef pot roast?  :scratch:

Classic pot roast is braised for several hours until connective tissue breaks down and meat becomes very tender.   I don't know how you cook a chuck roast but that is what I do. 

Or you could sous vide it for 24 hours at 135..... :happy1:

Boar Boar Boar,Sear sear sear,carmelizes carmelizes carmelizes the outter layer of the protien.It as stated before does not seal in moisture! Proper cooking and rest time does that.The carmelizing does add flavor flavor flavor :angry2: Just ask Julia childes!!

Not hard, but easy to mess it up.  Do it right is easy too.

Yup still going Mike.  So I see they have beef arm roasts on sale here for $3.49 a lb.  Think that would make a good pot roast?

I have been reading on this great subject.  I am making a Pot Roast.  That means well done and almost falling apart.  Different than Roast Beef which can be med rare to medium.  Two completely different ways to cook the beef roasts.
